The EXTRA RUSH LEVEL was raised on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month. By raising the EXTRA RUSH LEVEL, new songs were added to the EXTRA/ENCORE/PREMIUM STAGE system. During the daily maintenance or if the machine is not connected to eAMUSEMENT, the EXTRA RUSH LEVEL was set to level 1. EXTRA RUSH LEVEL 15 ended on March 31st, 2013 when the eAMUSEMENT support ended.
Note: When the machine is on LOCAL MODE or is not connected to e-amusement, the EXTRA RUSH Level is set to Level 1.

When a new ENCORE STAGE song is introduced, the song cannot be unlocked at first. It can only be unlocked on the 2nd time the EXTRA LV is raised following the song introduction. On EXTRA RUSH LEVEL 10, the songs only have to be cleared in order to unlock them. Each of the EXTRA/ENCORE/PREMIUM songs can be unlocked into Standard play by obtaining a specific percentage of Perfects on the song. As time went on, the percentages and conditions changed as listed below:

EXTRA/ENCORE STAGE Requirements

EXTRA STAGE

Obtain a net total of 0 points over a playthrough, where for a given song:

  • SS = 3 points, S = 1 point, A = -1 point, B = -3 points, C = -5 points, D = -7 points, E = -9 points.

When accessed, an EXTRA STAGE-specific song may be played in addition to any song on the regular song list.

ENCORE STAGE

Obtain a set percentage of Perfects on an Extra Stage-specific song (marked in red on the song list) without using any Auto modes. The percentage is dependent on Encore/Hyper Encore Chance being available.

  • Normal requirement = 95%, Encore Chance = 90%, Hyper Encore Chance = 75%.

When accessed, the ENCORE STAGE (and only the ENCORE STAGE) will be made playable up to the highest difficulty level played on Extra Stage.

Note: When the machine is on LOCAL MODE or is not connected to e-amusement, the EXTRA RUSH Level is set to Level 1.

Before reaching a designated EXTRA RUSH Level, the EXTRA RUSH STAGEs can be unlocked into Standard play by obtaining a specific percent of PERFECTs on the song. These percentages are listed below:
