  • Release Date: May 16th, 2002

General Information / Changes

  • First DanceDanceRevolution title released on the PlayStation 2.
  • A direct port of the original arcade game, with two new CS songs.
    • Unlike the arcade version, though, the GROOVE RADAR doesn't list numbers next to its stats by default. It can be entered with a code, though.
  • First Japanese CS DanceDanceRevolution game in the main series that does not have song previews for the next installment in the series.
  • Only CS DanceDanceRevolution game in any region to not have numerical difficulty ratings for its charts. Its North American counterpart, however, does.
  • Total number of songs: 44

  • Kind Lady - clear 40 songs.
  • true... (trance sunrise mix) - to unlock this song, first clear 2 BeForU / Riyu Kosaka songs for your first two songs in a round of Arcade Mode. true... (trance sunrise mix) will then appear as your Final Stage song. Clear it to unlock it.
  • MAX 300 - clear MAX 300 via the EXTRA STAGE method (see the DDRMAX arcade page for more details), or clear 100 songs.
  • CANDY☆ - clear CANDY☆ via the ONE MORE EXTRA STAGE, or clear 200 songs.
