General Information / Changes
- First DanceDanceRevolution title released on the PlayStation 2.
- A direct port of the original arcade game, with two new CS songs.
- One of the only two CD-based PlayStation 2 Japanese DanceDanceRevolution games, along with DanceDanceRevolution Party Collection.
- First Japanese CS DanceDanceRevolution game in the main series that does not have song previews for the next installment in the series.
- First CS DanceDanceRevolution game in any region to not have numerical difficulty ratings for its charts. (Its North American counterpart, however, does have ratings.)

Unlock Information
Song Unlocks
- SO IN LOVE - clear 20 songs, or get a GAME OVER.
- Kind Lady - clear 40 songs.
- true...(Trance Sunrise Mix) - clear 60 songs, or with the maximum stage set to 3 or higher, clear a combination of either DIVE(more deep & deeper style), Firefly, or true... (radio edit) for any two non-FINAL STAGE. Repeated songs in the same playthrough will not count towards this requirement. true...(Trance Sunrise Mix) will then appear on the next stage. Clearing true...(Trance Sunrise Mix) twice (even on the same playthrough) will unlock it for normal play.
- As songs can be repeated even without EVENT MODE turned on, true...(Trance Sunrise Mix) can be unlocked in a single playthrough with the maximum stage set to 4 or higher.
- MAX 300 - clear MAX 300 via the EXTRA STAGE method (see the DDRMAX arcade page for more details), or clear 100 songs.
- CANDY☆ - clear CANDY☆ via the ONE MORE EXTRA STAGE, or clear 200 songs.
