General Information / Changes
- A new type of marker, the Hold Marker, is introduced.
- Charts with Hold Markers are denoted with a [2] after their titles.
- Several old songs received Hold Marker charts as well.
- A new unlock mode, Step, is added. It is similar to the class unlock system of jubeat and jubeat ripples.
- The jubility rating has been replaced by Step levels.
- Emblems has been introduced in the game, and will be displayed when matching with people.
- Returning songs that haven't been unlocked yet can be also unlocked on Step.
- COURSE MODE has been removed. It is unknown if it will be added again.
- S-C-U provides the system and background BGM once again.

Unlockable Songs
Step
Step is the main unlock system of jubeat prop, and works similarly to the Grade systems in jubeat and jubeat ripples. Step levels also replace the jubility rating system.
As you play, experience points are gained from each song. Once you have enough experience points, you need a Bead to go to the next level, or Step Up. Beads work like ACHIEVEMENTs in previous games, requiring players to complete certain tasks, and a new set of tasks is given every 10 Steps. At every 9th Step (9, 19, 29 etc.) up to 99, you need to clear an Unlock Challenge in the next credit in order to unlock the next Step. Unlock Challenges are similar to REFLEC BEAT groovin'!!'s REFLEC Dojo, where a fixed set of songs are to be cleared. Note that once an Unlock Challenge is initiated in that credit, it cannot be exited.

BONUS TUNE
The BONUS TUNE system returns from jubeat saucer fulfill. BONUS TUNE is similar to the EXTRA STAGE systems of other BEMANI games. To access it, you must fill a circular gauge that appears on the result screen of every TUNE by acquiring BONUS TUNE POINTs. To acquire BONUS TUNE POINTs, you must meet certain conditions:
- Play a song: 10 POINTs (NORMAL), 80 POINTs (NORMAL MORE)
- Matching four people: 10 POINTs (NORMAL), 30 POINTs (NORMAL MORE)
- Matching partner's full combo: 10 POINTs (NORMAL), 30 POINTs (NORMAL MORE)
- Matching partner's EXCELLENT: 10 POINTs (NORMAL), 30 POINTs (NORMAL MORE)
- Play a song for the first time: 10 POINTs (NORMAL), 60 POINTs (NORMAL MORE)
- Play an ACHIEVEMENT target song: 10 POINTs (NORMAL), 20 POINTs (NORMAL MORE)
- Full combo a Challenge song: 20 POINTs (NORMAL), 300 POINTs (NORMAL MORE)
- Failure to full combo a Challenge song: 10 POINTs (NORMAL), 100 POINTs (NORMAL MORE)
