DanceDanceRevolution ULTRAMIX4

Release Information

  • Release date: November 14th, 2006.

General Information / Changes

  • Fourth and final Xbox DanceDanceRevolution title.
    • It's also the only ULTRAMIX game with no European counterpart.
    • It was sold at $29.99, versus the $40-50 range of the earlier games in the series.
  • Interface is based on ULTRAMIX2, though the interface has been changed quite a bit.
    • Banners are now displayed at the bottom center as opposed to the top.
    • A new font for BPM has been introduced.
    • Foot ratings are replaced with a bar with little pegs representing feet.
  • Song and artist information are now displayed to the immediate left of the GROOVE RADAR and are now in the center.
    • Instead of rectangular boxes with the song and artist name for other songs to the left and right of the currently displayed song on the music select screen, banners are shown instead.
  • Unlike previous games in the series, ULTRAMIX4 makes no distinction between default and hidden songs. This also carried over to the Xbox 360 titles.
  • Only ULTRAMIX title to save scores in BEGINNER.
  • Only ULTRAMIX title to feature songs from contests - it includes four winning songs from the Broadjam.com DDR Song Contest.
  • The dancer cast (but LADY) has been replaced with new characters, with YUNI as the main dancer. None of them would return in the following Xbox 360 titles.
  • All older DanceDanceRevolution songs (including Dancemania licenses and new DLC packs) have received new banners and backgrounds, with the exceptions of BLUE IMPULSE (for EXTREME), TEARS, and WAKA LAKA.
    • AM-3P's original banner is used, though it received a new background.
  • First and only DanceDanceRevolution title to use licensed music as BGM.
  • Total songs: 71 (not including DLC)
