BEMANI SUMMER DIARY 2015

The BEMANI SUMMER DIARY 2015 event involves beatmania IIDX 22 PENDUAL, DanceDanceRevolution (2014), GITADORA Tri-Boost, jubeat prop, pop'n music ラピストリア, REFLEC BEAT groovin'!! Upper, SOUND VOLTEX III GRAVITY WARS, and BeatStream.

A prologue song, In The Breeze, was made available for all participant games on July 16th, 2015, by playing any game once.

The BEMANI SUMMER DIARY 2015 event started on July 23rd, 2015 and ended on October 26th, 2015. Since then, the songs can be unlocked in the following games by these methods:

  • GITADORA Tri-Boost: all songs could be unlocked for limited amounts of time in the following events: KAC kaisaikinen! Udedameshi campaign (December 24th, 2015 - January 21st, 2016), Kyouka no lucky everyday (August 2nd, 2016 - August 31st, 2016), Aki no lucky everyday (October 26th, 2016 - December 2nd, 2016). Alternatively, play Battle mode with someone who has the song to unlock it.
  • GITADORA Tri-Boost Re:EVOLVE: all songs could be unlocked for limited amounts of time in the following events: Shinshun! GITADORA OMIKUJI (January 18th, 2017 - February 7th, 2017), Osusowake high-touch campaign (June 19th, 2017 - July 9th, 2017), 2017 Natsu no Osusowake high-touch campaign (August 1st, 2017 - August 31st, 2017). Alternatively, play Battle mode with someone who has the song to unlock it.
  • GITADORA Matixx: all songs unlockable through the Deluxe mode.
  • GITADORA EXCHAIN: all songs unlockable through the Deluxe mode.
  • GITADORA NEX+AGE: all songs unlockable through the Deluxe mode.
  • GITADORA HIGH-VOLTAGE: all songs unlockable through the Deluxe mode.

jubeat:

  • jubeat Qubell: all songs unlockable via the dig dig Qubell unlocking system, however, 惑星☆ロリポップ is availbale by default from February 23rd, 2017 onwards.
  • jubeat clan: all songs besides 惑星☆ロリポップ are unlockable via the jubeat SHOP.
  • jubeat festo: all songs besides 惑星☆ロリポップ can be unlocked via the emo MART.

Overview

The event focuses on filling a diary with images of different BEMANI characters. Every image shows two characters: one of them (i.e. RASIS for SOUND VOLTEX) indicates the game where the song will be unlocked, the other (i.e. TRAN for beatmania IIDX) the "partner" game which can also be played to unlock the song faster. The representative characters are:

You can play any participating BEMANI title to unlock a song. Coin play gives you about 4.9% per session, while using PASELI / playing on Premium modes gives you about 7.4% (if playing on jubeat using PASELI, the percentage will be split to about 2.46% per song). Paying extra for certain game modes (e.g. GENERATOR START in SOUND VOLTEX) will give extra base progress.

Playing any of the two BEMANI titles represented by the characters on each image gives you a 3x multiplier on that session. Playing on the corresponding day gives you another 3x multiplier, or a 1.5x multiplier if you played within seven days after that day. All the multipliers stack per game session. In other words:

Progress gained = Base session progress x representative game bonus (if any) x day bonus (if any).

In addition, playing non-BEMANI games such as QUIZ MAGIC ACADEMY Akatsuki no kane (クイズマジックアカデミー 暁の鐘) and Steel Chronicle VICTROOPERS give permanent boosts to unlock songs faster, while Mahjong Fight Club Irodori no hana (麻雀格闘倶楽部 彩の華) lets you obtain orbs to unlock a song instantly.

Note that the songs must be unlocked in order, even if you use the Mahjong Fight Club orbs. If the resultant progress exceeds 100%, any progress over 100% will carry over to the next song's progress. However, none of the epilogue song's versions can be unlocked with Mahjong Fight Club orbs.

The ✓ symbol denotes that the song can be unlocked on a certain game, while the ◎ symbol denotes that this game can also be played in order to unlock the song faster, though the latter game does not receive the song.

Trivia

  • On August 8th, 2015, due to a bug on the beatmania IIDX eAMUSEMENT website, 少年は空を辿る was accidentally revealed as a future unlock for beatmania IIDX 22 PENDUAL before it could be unlocked on the event.
  • Much like the jubeat・GITADORA・DDRのTriple Journey event, the epilogue song 夏色DIARY was remixed by a representative artist for each BEMANI series.
  • The non-remixed version of 夏色DIARY marks the first composition collaboration between Naoyuki Sato and Yoshihiko Koezuka in BEMANI.
