DanceDanceRevolution ULTRAMIX2

Release Information

  • Release Dates: November 18th, 2004

General Information / Changes

  • Brand-new interface replaces the one from ULTRAMIX. Differences include:
    • Songs are listed on the far right side and come up as you scroll left to right. Ten song are listed at a time in rectangular boxes. Your grades for a song are listed in these boxes as well. From top to bottom: LIGHT, STANDARD, and then HEAVY.
    • Banners are now to the immediate left of the GROOVE RADAR, itself on the far left of the screen. BPM of a song is listed underneath it, followed by foot dificulty levels. On the bottom left lists difficulty levels, which are toggled with just a single up/down press.
  • New, high-resolution generic clips replaced the original clips from the DanceDanceRevolution arcades games used in ULTRAMIX.
  • First ULTRAMIX title with BEGINNER charts.
    • Also the first DanceDanceRevolution game with Double BEGINNER charts.
  • DanceDanceRevolution ULTRAMIX2 starts a collaboration with the music label A Different Drum, who would provide licenses and original compositions for the rest of the Xbox / Xbox 360 titles.
  • The official DanceDanceRevolution ULTRAMIX2 site mislabels the ESRB rating for this game as "T" for Teen. It's actually rated "E" for Everyone.
  • Unlike ULTRAMIX, ULTRAMIX2's new song packs also contain brand-new songs as well.
  • Total songs: 70
