WAY OF NOSTALGIA
WAY OF NOSTALGIA is ノスタルジア's main unlocking system. At the start of your credit, players can choose a Chapter. In order to complete a Chapter and unlock that Chapter's song, a certain number of Steps must be reached, symbolized as a staircase. Every time a song is played, Croit (the black cat) moves up a Step on the staircase. Note that you have to play the unlocked song before unlocking another Chapter, otherwise the Steps gained since the last unlock will not count towards the next Chapter, similar to BEAST CRISIS in BeatStream アニムトライヴ.
The maximum number of Steps given by playing a song will depend on the difficulty played: 4 for Easy, 7 for Hard, and 10 for Expert. Number of Steps obtained can also vary with Brooches (ブローチ).
Steps are accumulated between Chapters. The number of Steps required for each Chapter are the following:
- Chapter 1: I, 5 Steps.
- Chapter 2: 変わりゆく時間とノスタルジアと, 10 Steps.
- Chapter 3: 飽和世界, 15 Steps.
- Chapter 4: nostos, 20 Steps.
- Chapter 5: Noah's song, 25 Steps.
- Chapter 6: Enigmatic Synchronization, 30 Steps.
- Chapter 7: 夕焼け猫とブリキのロボット, 30 Steps.
- Chapter 8: 愛、遠く, 30 Steps.
- Chapter 9: flee for free!!, 30 Steps.
- Chapter 10: PLEASURE STREAM, 30 Steps.
- Chapter 11: PF flowing, 40 Steps.
Songs are ordered by unlocking order.
