General Information / Changes

• BASS charts, which have been around since GUITARFREAKS 3rdMIX, are finally given individual ratings.
• Launch title for e-AMUSEMENT. At this point in time it was only used for keeping track of machine high scores and submitting internet ranking scores, profile support would not occur until power-up ver..
• First game in the series to feature a licensed BONUS TRACK song.
• First game to have songwheel and banners in the music select interface.
• First game to allow players to change difficulty and settings in EXTRA/ENCORE STAGE.
• A new font for note combo and judgements is introduced, which would be used up to GuitarFreaks V8 & DrumMania V8.
• BRANCH and REVERSE modifiers are introduced.
• With the release of the newer PlayStation 2 games, GUITARFREAKS 8thMIX & drummania 7thMIX are the only installments in the classic GuitarFreaks & DrumMania franchise between GUITARFREAKS 5thMIX & drummania 4thMIX and GUITARFREAKS 11thMIX & drummania 10thMIX to have all of their licenses on CS GuitarFreaks & DrumMania games.
• This is the first GuitarFreaks & DrumMania game with original Hirofumi Sasaki songs where he did not compose one of the EXTRA/ENCORE STAGE songs.
• System BGM is composed by TOMOSUKE.
• Total songs: 106 (101 in both, 2 only in GUITARFREAKS, 3 only in drummania)
