It is known that KONAMI has a habit of having songs that appear in earlier BEMANI games, such as data that contains graphics, charts, and even song cuts of unused licensed and KONAMI original songs, before their proper debuts. This page will list every known song that appeared earlier in some way (HDD data, location test, master songlist, etc.) before its proper debut.

Note that unlike the Scrapped Songs page, this lists songs that only actually appeared in a final BEMANI game.

Songs are listed by the game they were going to debut on, not the game they finally appeared in.

This page is under HEAVY construction. For songs whose movements aren't covered by official KONAMI sources, please use the Talk Page.

beatmania IIDX

beatmania IIDX

beatmania IIDX 11 IIDX RED CS

beatmania IIDX 14 GOLD

  • evergreen / kors k
    • According to kors k's song comments on the DJ TROOPERS page for the song, evergreen was originally written for GOLD, but was submitted late and instead debuted in DJ TROOPERS.

beatmania IIDX 17 SIRIUS

  • Macuilxochitl / TOMOSUKE
    • According to TOMOSUKE's twitter, Macuilxochitl was originally a beatmania IIDX song. But the jubeat staff wanted a jazzy classic piano song, so it went there instead. The early version of Macuilxochitl, which was faster and used four pianos, was later retooled into Almagest, which appeared in SIRIUS after it was remixed by Galdeira.

beatmania IIDX 19 Lincle

  • FLOWER / DJ YOSHITAKA
    • Graphics for FLOWER can be found in the beatmania IIDX 19 Lincle data, but no sound data can be found. FLOWER would not appear until the next style.

DanceDanceRevolution

DanceDanceRevolution

  • BOYS / SMiLE.dk
    • Appeared in the location test of DanceDanceRevolution, but did not appear in the final release. It instead debuted in DanceDanceRevolution 2ndMIX a few months later.

DanceDanceRevolution 2ndMIX

  • XANADU / THE OLIVIA PROJECT
    • A different set of graphics can be fond in the 2ndMIX data, but there are no charts for the song and it's not playable. It later became playable in DanceDanceRevolution 3rdMIX.

DanceDanceRevolution 4thMIX

  • ウルトラハイヒール〜I JUST WANNA TELL YOU / dj TAKA feat.Angel
    • According to OMG KON!'s blog, ウルトラハイヒール〜I JUST WANNA TELL YOU was playable during the DanceDanceRevolution 4thMIX location test, and banner data apparently exists in the game. It later appeared in pop'n music 5.
      • This would also explain Seiya Murai's comment on the official pop'n music 5 site for ウルトラハイヒール〜I JUST WANNA TELL YOU mentioning "Ms. Angel O'Brien" and how active she is in DDR, despite her not having any original songs in that series.

pop'n music 10

  • Just you wait! / heap
    • According to wac's song comments on the pop'n music 12 いろは page for the song, Just you wait! was made in late 2002/early 2003 for pop'n music 10, but did not appear in the game and instead appeared in pop'n music 12. He doesn't give a specific reason for its absence.

REFLEC BEAT

REFLEC BEAT

  • Stay my side / DJ Yoshitaka feat. RINA
    • Stay my side originally debuted in the location test of REFLEC BEAT, but made its first appearance in beatmania IIDX 18 Resort Anthem, nearly two months before the game's debut. Still, Stay my side appeared on the REFLECT BEAT OST alongside all the other original songs for the game, as well as the game's unlock systems. However, it was later debunked as a REFLEC BEAT original in beatmania IIDX 20 tricoro, when it was the only REFLEC BEAT song in IIDX that couldn't be used to access Hollywood Galaxy via the game's LIMIT BURST system.
