- Name: Shigeharu Saeki (佐伯茂治)
- Birthdate: January 27th, 1978
Profile
Shigeharu Saeki is an artist in the GuitarFreaks & DrumMania series who first began playing background instruments for various cover songs in the series. He eventually composed his first song for the series in GuitarFreaks V & DrumMania V (Destructive Wave, with Mutsuhiko Izumi and Yuei Uematsu), and has since went on to compose several more works. He also made a live appearance at GITADO LIVE 2007, playing most of the set's keyboard parts. Shigeharu Saeki eventually started composing songs for other BEMANI games.
Shigeharu's songs, even in GuitarFreaks & DrumMania, are for the most part more electronic/synthesized than most of his contemporaries, dabbling in techno and a bit of chiptune under his S-C-U alias, which he has used near exclusively the past few years in BEMANI.
Shigeharu is the current sound director of the jubeat series. As of jubeat Qubell, he is also joined by Akhuta.
Trivia
- It is currently speculated that jubeat contributor Nazzo-Non-Heat is another alias of Shigeharu's.
- Shigeharu's Shoccho alias is named after his habit of always eating small intestine (Shouchou (小腸) in Japanese) at the yakiniku restaurants.
