Spicy Gauge
Spicy Gauge (辛ゲージ) is an unofficial term used by pop'n music players to refer to the life gauge used in charts with 1537 or more notes, which is way harder than normal to increase and obtain a full gauge. Note that LONG version songs and Triple charts from pop'n music アニメロ2号 do not have Spicy Gauges.
Charts with notecounts between 1025 and 1536 are called "Slightly Spicy Gauge" (微辛ゲージ), because it is difficult to increase the gauge on them, although not as hard as charts with Spicy Gauge.
Songs with Spicy Gauge
The following songs have Spicy Gauges, all of them on their EX charts.
Trivia
- While neu's EX chart in pop'n music portable has less notes than its arcade counterpart (having 1880 notes instead of 1899), it still has a Spicy Gauge.
- 雪上断火 and シュレーディンガーの猫 do not have Spicy Gauges in pop'n music portable 2.
- BabeL ~Grand Story~'s EX chart with exactly 1536 notes is at the borderline of Spicy Gauge, confirming its difference with Slightly Spicy Gauge.
