General Information / Changes
- Fourth DanceDanceRevolution game for the Nintendo Wii.
- Released as DanceDanceRevolution hottest party3 in Europe.
- Both DanceDanceRevolution HOTTEST PARTY3 and DanceDanceRevolution X2 CS were released on the same date on North America. Both games share most of the new KONAMI original songs and some licenses.
- First DanceDanceRevolution Wii game with jackets.
- First DanceDanceRevolution Wii game where all the licenses are the original master recordings.
- Cut-ins are introduced, where a character makes a pose after a certain number of combos have been reached.
- Last DanceDanceRevolution game worked on by Stillwind Borenstein, who died eight months before the game's release.
- Can unlock everything in DanceDanceRevolution HOTTEST PARTY2 through System Data Support.

Note: As of DanceDanceRevolution (2010)'s release, all songs, stages, outfits and course programs can be unlocked by either going into the User Support menu under Options or accepting "confirm" when asked, if there is a saved game file, to unlock everything in DanceDanceRevolution HOTTEST PARTY3 when starting up DanceDanceRevolution (2010).

Unlike the first two games, completing second playthrough in DanceDanceRevolution HOTTEST PARTY3 will not fully unlock the game's contents. In order to fully unlock the game, the DDR Points must show COMPLETE in place of the cumulative points.
