He's also been known to sneak in lots of scratching in his songs, including some for Des-ROW. Yoshitaka was the head beatmania IIDX sound director from beatmania IIDX 14 GOLD through SIRIUS, which met with mixed opinions among the non-Japanese BEMANI crowd. After SIRIUS his beatmania IIDX appearances have been scarce, though.
Yoshitaka is currently the head producer of the following BEMANI series: beatmania IIDX, pop'n music, REFLEC BEAT, SOUND VOLTEX and BeatStream.
Trivia
- Owns a dark brown chihuahua named Daizu, who appears in the video for タシカナモノ.
- He was found by NAOKI. Incidentally, Yoshitaka was the one who scouted out Kanako Hoshino, who performed on many of his earlier vocal songs and premiered in the very same game he did.
- Yoshitaka, along with L.E.D. in tricoro, currently holds the record for the most number of new songs in a single beatmania IIDX style with 7 each in EMPRESS and SIRIUS.
