DanceDanceRevolution X CS (Japan)
Release Information
- Release Date: January 29th, 2009
General Information / Changes
- Final Japanese DanceDanceRevolution title release on the PlayStation 2.
- HOW TO PLAY and Put 'Em Up are missing from the songlist, as all are the HOTTEST PARTY crossovers and X-Special charts.
- None of the characters' second outfits, items, dance routines, the classic models of AFRO and LADY, arrow skins and several options introduced in the arcade version were included.
- Can unlock everything in DanceDanceRevolution SuperNOVA2 CS (Japan) through System Data Support.
- Unlike the arcade version, SABER WING, 凛として咲く花の如く, and 零 -ZERO- are default songs now, while Flight of the Phoenix and Inspiration are now hidden songs.
- Much like in DanceDanceRevolution X CS (America), Shock Arrow charts have a unique background video with thunder storms.
- 旅人's video has been removed.
- Total songs: 81 (including the two SMM-Special charts)

Song Play Unlocks
While everything can be unlocked in DanceDanceRevolution X can be unlocked through DANCE MASTER MODE, one can also unlock everything in the game except for the new -SMM Special- charts via song plays. Note that you must clear a song for the song play to count; failures will not to your overall clears. Every 5 songs completed unlocks you either a new character, course, or song. Everything (again, except the -SMM Special- songs) will be unlocked after a total of 335 songs are cleared.
