A similar system is used for certain unlockable songs; upon reaching a respective song's unlock threshold in a session, clearing the Final Stage will show a "New Song Unlocked!" message in the same way as the "Try Extra Stage!" message, and you will be forced to play said song's HEAVY chart, with Reverse enabled, and with a non-replenishable dance gauge. However, this will be overriden by the actual EXTRA STAGE if those conditions are reached instead.

EXTRA STAGE

To access the EXTRA STAGE, you must clear a song on HEAVY or CHALLENGE difficulty with at least a AA rating on your Final Stage. You will be forced to play PARANOiA -Respect- on HEAVY difficulty, with 1.5x and Reverse enabled. As usual, your dance gauge will not increase with each correct step.

A similar system is used for certain unlockable songs; upon reaching a respective song's unlock threshold in a session, clearing the Final Stage will show a "New Song Unlocked!" message in the same way as the "Try Extra Stage!" message, and you will be forced to play said song's HEAVY chart, with Reverse enabled, and with a non-replenishable dance gauge. However, this will be overriden by the actual EXTRA STAGE if those conditions are reached instead.

Unlock Information

Unlike other DanceDanceRevolution titles, song clears are only counted if EVENT MODE is turned off, and any unlocked songs will appear upon starting a new session. As previously mentioned, certain songs (Freedom, I Need You (Insideout Door Mix), Can Be Real, STARS☆☆☆(2nd NAOKI's style), PARANOiA -Respect-) will act as an EXTRA STAGE in their initial unlock, but they'll remain unlocked whether it's cleared or not.

  • I Need You (Insideout Door Mix) - clear 24 songs.
  • AM-3P - clear 30 songs.

  • Can Be Real - clear 42 songs.
  • CAN'T STOP FALLIN' IN LOVE - clear 48 songs.
  • CELEBRATE NITE - clear 54 songs.
  • STARS☆☆☆(2nd NAOKI's style) - clear 60 songs.
  • 祭 JAPAN - clear 66 songs.
  • ORION.78 (AMeuro-MIX) - clear 72 songs.
  • PARANOiA -Respect- - clear 78 songs.

Course Unlocks

  • TRICK - unlock I Need You (Insideout Door Mix).
  • 鬼っ娘 (おにっこ), Space Walker - unlock Can Be Real.
  • 家（ウチ）の鬼, NEW ARRIVAL - unlock STARS☆☆☆(2nd NAOKI's style).
  • Ultimate12 - unlock all songs.
  • 真・鬼の乱 - unlock all songs.

Dancer Unlocks

  • To unlock other dancers, finish a set of songs with any character. The character horizontally adjacent will then be unlocked afterwards.

Staff Roll

  • Christmas limited staff roll: set your PlayStation 2 to any day from November 1st through December 31st.
