pop'n music Be-Mouse

Release Information

  • Release date: May 22nd, 2008
  • Retail value: 4,980 yen
  • Platforms: Windows Vista/XP/2000

General Information

  • First announced in mid-2007, with its website opening September 12th, 2007.
  • Comes bundled with a mouse with nine tiny buttons, colored like a pop'n music controller.
  • Interface is based on pop'n music 14 FEVER!.
  • 12 songs are available by default; all others must be bought as DLC.
  • Every song has four charts: 3BUTTON, 5BUTTON, 9NORMAL, and 9HYPER.
    • EX and BATTLE charts are not playable.
  • BPM and scores are listed on the MUSLC SELECT screen, unlike the arcade pop'n music series.
    • Mods are also set on the MUSIC SELECT screen, as there's no pre-loading screens for songs. You jump into a song once you choose it.
  • FEVER! backgrounds don't show even with a full gauge, though a character's FEVER! animations still appear.
    • The character's MISS background will appear when you get a BAD or miss notes, however.
  • There is no character selection screen; you play as the rival character of whatever song you play.
  • Music download service was discontinued on March 31st, 2010.
    • Online services ended June 1st, 2010.
