General information

Picture 2.png

  • Location test: 30 August 2006 - 6 September 2006
  • US Location test: 5 March 2007 - 19 March 2007
  • Release date: February 21st, 2007
  • Slogan: It's Party Time!

Changes

  • As with DistorteD, the game once again features a new typeface for the words beatmaniaIIDX.
  • Introduced REGUL-SPEED, which keeps the BPM at a constant 150, ignoring all BPM changes.
  • A new modifier is added called Pitch, and ranges from -4 to 4. This alters the pitch of a song, making it sound lower or higher in varying degrees.
  • The game was originally supposed to come out February 7th, but was delayed due to monitor problems.
  • First style to have a dedicated US release (release date currently unknown, but is believed to be around November/December 2007).
  • First recent style to revive older songs, but has all licensed songs removed as well.

E-amusement only

  • VIP Room available, which contains specific courses as well as new Extra Stage/One More Extra Stage songs, therefore making this the first style to feature more than one Extra Stage/One More Stage.
  • GP system first used, which used "GP" earned from clearing songs to access a folder called IIDX Records, which feature CS-only songs, new songs, and different crossover songs from other Bemani games.
