In Standard Mode, during your final stage, the following conditions will cause you to unlock an extra stage:
* obtaining a perfect combo
* obtaining a full combo on a 5 or greater on Single Play or a 4 or greater on Double Play
* finishing with 100% gauge on a 7 or greater on Single Play or a 6 or greater on Double Play
* clearing an 8 or greater on Single Play or a 7 or greater on Double Play
What happens during your first two stages has no influence on whether or not a normal extra stage is attainable, so you could, for example, fail the first two stages with a DJ VIP Pass and still obtain an Extra Stage as long as you met the conditions on the final stage.

* Qualify for normal extra stage requirements.
* All first three stages must be One More Extra Stages from previous IIDX games. (革命, xenon, quasar, One More Lovely, ピアノ協奏曲第1番"蠍火", 冥, 嘆きの樹, Fascination MAXX, Sense 2007, PARANOiA ~HADES~, TROOPERS, MENDES, 3y3s, 卑弥呼, Colorful Cookie, 不沈艦CANDY, BITTER CHOCOLATE STRIKER, Bad Maniacs, Almagest, 灼熱Beach Side Bunny, DIAVOLO, 天空の夜明け)
* To unlock the Normal chart, all three songs' difficulties must add up to at least 18 and be cleared on Easy gauge or above.
* To unlock the Hyper chart, all three songs' difficulties must add up to at least 27 and be cleared on Normal gauge or above.
* To unlock the Another chart, all three songs' difficulties must add up to at least 33 and be cleared on Hard gauge or above.
** Because of the difficulties of the eligible songs' Another charts, one must either have cleared 8th dan or greater and played over 100 times or use a DJ VIP Pass Platinum to circumvent first and second stage difficulty limits.
* Even if a DJ VIP Pass was used, failing a single stage will prevent Sol Cosine Job 2 from appearing.

General Information

Tricoro-logo.png

  • Location test: April 18, 2012 - April 24, 2012
  • Release Date: September 19th (cabinets), September 25th 2012 (upgrade)
  • Slogan: 輪音転奏。Next Link Various Tunes Change the World [ TRI ] For The Future !!!

Info/Changes

  • First beatmania IIDX game with HD graphics.
  • Gameplay interface is overhauled.
  • Results screen pics return.
  • Total Notes information no longer on song results screens.
    • Music now plays on result screens, and they also display the difficulty and level of the song you played.
  • New songs have black backgrounds with yellow text. This is the first IIDX game since beatmania IIDX 4th style in which a game's new songs have black backgrounds, and the first in the series with colored text.
  • This is the first IIDX arcade game since their debuts in which TOMOSUKE, Seiya Murai, S.S.D. , DJ Mass MAD Izm*, DJ Command, and PRASTIK DANCEFLOOR don't appear on the default songlist.
  • SABER WING, sakura storm, , Make A Difference, and Sweet Sweet ♥ Magic now have their dedicated videos from DanceDanceRevolution.
  • Modifier selection is overhauled:
    • The beginner option screen is offered by default; only "assist" modifiers can be selected on this screen (EASY, 5KEYS, AUTO SCRATCH, and LEGACY NOTE)
    • A more traditional modifier screen is also available; modifier categories have been reorganized so there are now four (STYLE, GAUGE, ASSIST, and RANGE), the first three of which can be cycled up and down by using the top and bottom key rows respectively.
    • A new options screen is introduced for selecting a ghost type, and options previously only accessible through codes (JUDGE among others).
    • You can cycle through these options screens with the Effect Change and VEFX buttons.
  • HI-SPEED is overhauled:
    • HI-SPEED can now only be changed by holding Start in-game; it is no longer available from the modifier screen.
    • The HI-SPEED range is now 0.5 to 10.0, and values now correspond to the speed multiplier applied to chart, meaning HS 1.0 is equivalent to no HS on previous IIDX versions. (Multiplier values for HS mods in previous versions can be found here.)
    • With SUDDEN+ disabled, you can set HI-SPEED with the turntable in .01 increments from 0.5 to 10.0.
    • With SUDDEN+ enabled, you can increase and decrease HI-SPEED by .25 increments with the black and white keys respectively within the same range.
    • This is the first release since CS 6th style to feature LOW-SPEED (by using a HI-SPEED value under 1.0).
  • You can now switch the score graph and movie's locations by pressing the Start button on the side opposite the one you are playing on.
  • Players can now see how they rank on a specific song against other players in the same arcade.
  • The default EXTRA STAGE is now called LIMIT BURST.

Staff Information

  • L.E.D. and 猫叉Master are known sound directors this time around, the latter's first in BEMANI.

Extra Stage

Normal Extra Stage

In Standard Mode, during your final stage, the following conditions will cause you to unlock an extra stage:

  • obtaining a perfect combo
  • obtaining a full combo on a 5 or greater on Single Play or a 4 or greater on Double Play
  • finishing with 100% gauge on a 7 or greater on Single Play or a 6 or greater on Double Play
  • clearing an 8 or greater on Single Play or a 7 or greater on Double Play

What happens during your first two stages has no influence on whether or not a normal extra stage is attainable, so you could, for example, fail the first two stages with a DJ VIP Pass and still obtain an Extra Stage as long as you met the conditions on the final stage.
