While everything can be unlocked in DanceDanceRevolution X through DANCE MASTER MODE, one can also unlock everything in the game except for the new -SMM Special- charts via song plays. (Unlike the US version of X, you can unlock new character skins through song plays.) Note that you must clear a song for the song play to count; failures will not to your overall clears. Every 5 songs completed unlocks you either a new character, course, or song. Everything (again, except the -SMM Special- songs) will be unlocked after a total of 335 songs are cleared.
