General Information / Changes

• Theme: channel [1]
• Slogan: 流れる音で、時に乗れ（ストリーム ライディング）。 (STREAM RIDING.)
  • Another slogan tag, "This brand-new hour lets you cast and share your beat! Have a GREAT "CastHour" !!", is written in the logo. This marks the first time where a tag other than "The ultimate system beatmania deluxe version" is written in the logo.
• Befitting the theme, the menu screens feature many generic videos (from SIRIUS up until BISTROVER) that play/cycle every few seconds.
• New scratch type introduced; MSS, or Multi Spin Scratch. You must hit the scratch a certain amount of times in the same scratch. Each scratch counts as a note.
• Adjustments for in-game FAST/SLOW settings, as well as an AUTO ADJUST option, have been added. This option can be turned on or off at music select or during gameplay.
  • Pressing 3 adjusts FAST, 9 SLOW, and 0 turns on AUTO ADJUST.
• Random lane gacha (ランダムレーンガチャ) tickets have been introduced exclusively for LIGHTNING MODEL cabinets and can be purchased with PASELI. When used, ten specific RANDOM patterns are produced and can be selected at any time.
• All hidden non-BEMANI wide event unlocks from beatmania IIDX 27 HEROIC VERSE are now playable by default.
  • CONNECT-, Tell me what you wish feat.らっぷびと, and X-ray binary are also now playable by default.
• ABSOLUTE (kors k Remix), apo:llioth, and smooooch・∀・ (Snail's House Remix) are now playable by default on all machines. All other LIGHTNING MODEL exclusives are still exclusive.
• beatmania IIDX 29 CastHour's launch songlist marks several notable artist omissions in the beatmania IIDX series:
  • It's the first game since 8th style where Ryu☆ doesn't appear in any songs, license or original, on the default songlist.
  • It's the first game in the series since his debut in 8th style in which Tetsuya Tamura doesn't appear in the game's default songlist.
  • It marks the first game since Mayumi Morinaga's debut in Resort Anthem with no song sung by her in the default songlist, and the first game since copula with no songs under her Prim alias on the default songlist.
  • It's the first game since PENDUAL with no Dirty Androids song playable by default.
  • It's the first game since copula in which Nanahira doesn't sing in a song with Camellia on the default songlist.
  • It's the first game since Maozon's debut in copula with no song from him on the default songlist.
  • It's the first game in the series since CANNON BALLERS with no licensed covers.
• A hit chart can now be viewed on the Premium Area on LIGHTNING MODEL cabinets, showing which songs are currently the most popular.
• Rival data and personal bests now show what mods were used under their score graphs.
• Aspect ratio for songs when playing on Double have been fixed and now display in 4:3, like they do on Single.
• System BGM is composed by HuΣeR.
• In-game currency is called LISNA.
