  • Location test: 27 May 2009 - 2 June 2009, 30 June 2009 - 5 July 2009
  • Release date: October 21, 2009
  • Slogan: Chime bars's Sound,Light bar's Shine.

Info / Changes

  • Scraps the original typeface of the beatmania IIDX logo used in AC EMPRESS
  • Dark theme with shades of blue and black, similar to AC 10th style.
  • This is the first IIDX game since AC 1st style to not feature Naoki Maeda in any form on the songlist, transplant or otherwise.
  • New songs are highlighted in blue.
  • Full Combo Splash is now sky blue.
  • Has an electric BGM sound.
  • First IIDX with "charge notes", where you hold down the key for a certain period of time and release it at the end of the note. Songs with charge notes have "CN" at the left of that songs title at the songwheel.
  • First IIDX game with Backspin Scratch, where the player must continually spin the turntable in one direction and, at the end of the note, spin the turntable quickly in the opposite direction. (Both Charge Notes and Backspin Scratches give combo at the beginning and end of the note.)
  • First IIDX game with Party Mode.
  • First IIDX game where menu mode does not make a bigger text of the mode selected.
  • First IIDX game where its Extra Stage system (PARALLEL ROTATION) uses BGM's from previous IIDX styles and includes CS songs from previous versions.
  • First IIDX game since AC DistorteD where the One More Extra Stage songs don't have a special message in the LED ticker when played as boss songs and not in Free Mode.
  • The option window has changed significantly, showing in the center with one player and showing a list of all options for a key when changing the option for that key.
  • Ghost now displays FAST or SLOW along with the EX Score difference.
  • Expert mode has animations for highlighted difficulty.
  • Total amount of songs: 578

PARTY MODE Features:

  • Only available for singles play.
  • For each "event", you are given a specific songlist with the goal of gathering fans.
  • 3 songs per play.
  • You can use options in this mode.
  • The number of fans you gathered is related to your EX score.
  • There are separate events, with events being unlocked as you gather more fans. As of now, there are six events, with five being locked from the beginning.
  • Seems to be a mode aimed for beginners, as nearly all the songs on the first three events are on BEGINNER difficulty.
