General Information / Changes

  • First DanceDanceRevolution game with achievements and to be available as a digital download.
  • Unlike its sequels, DanceDanceRevolution UNIVERSE is region locked and can only be played in NTSC/U consoles.
  • Only game in the Xbox 360 DanceDanceRevolution series to feature Dancemania licenses.
  • HOT LIMIT received a new, shorter edit.
  • Song graphics are similar to DanceDanceRevolution 5thMIX, where the banner is a cropped part of the song's background. The difference, however, is that artist and song title information are displayed on the banner with a generic font.
  • Song downloads were available to be bought individually instead of only song packs. However, none of UNIVERSE's DLC can be purchased anymore, except for Gamerpics.
  • Unlike the ULTRAMIX series, the DLC in UNIVERSE titles is exclusive to each title and won't work in the following game.
  • UNIVERSE's first five DLC songs were previously released together as Song Pack #16 for DanceDanceRevolution ULTRAMIX4.
  • A revamped Quest Mode from DanceDanceRevolution ULTRAMIX3 makes a return as the game's unlocking system.
  • Final Xbox DanceDanceRevolution game developed at Konami Computer Entertainment Hawaii (KCEH).
  • Total songs: 78, plus 10 DLC songs
