Boss Songs

By fulfilling certain conditions within a playset, a boss song may be played immediately following the Final Stage of the playset. Similar to beatmania IIDX 13 DistorteD's CARDINAL GATE system, upon accessing the Boss Select screen one of several "bosses," modeled after each of the seven deadly sins, may be selected. Difficulties are marked on the Boss Select screen as Roman numerals. Upon selecting the song, the splash screen will display the boss name over an obscured song title. In addition, the song genre and artist information are also obscured, and the selected song on the results screen will be blank.

The available difficulties for the boss song are dependent on the grade and gauge used for each song in the playset:
Normal - Clear each song earning at least an A and using EX-Hard Gauge.
Hyper - Clear each song earning at least a AA and using EX-Hard Gauge.
Another - Clear each song earning a AAA and using EX-Hard Gauge.

If the player has obtained 1 companion, each song may be cleared with either Hard or EX-Hard Gauge. If the player has obtained 2 companions, no Hard Gauge is required on each song. In addition, if an amulet is obtained from the Lincle Shop and equipped, the grade requirement for each difficulty tier is lowered by one grade.

  • Mamonis - Greed - Choose songs that all originate from the same game. The songs must be selected from the appropriate game folder (confirmation needed).
  • Ashemu - Lust - Choose songs that all have the EXACT same genre (i.e. Drum'N'Bass and Drum & Bass do not work).
  • Bulluvegola - Sloth - Choose songs that all have the EXACT same artist (i.e. L.E.D. and L.E.D.-G will not work. Exception: Ryu, as credited in starmine, and Ryu☆ will work).
  • Beridzebeth - Gluttony - Clear each of the previous three boss songs.
