General Information / Changes
- Last title of the original beatmania series.
- beatmania THE FINAL has the biggest song list of the original beatmania series, including several revived songs from every beatmania arcade game (save for DREAMS COME TRUE), a handful of BEMANI crossovers, and almost all of beatmania III's new songs.
- Songs that are entirely new or debuting in THE FINAL are colored blue on the song wheel.
- Songs from beatmania III are colored green.
- Songs from previous AC games are colored white.
- Songs or charts that cannot be played while BATTLE is active are colored yellow, and have an accompanying warning.
- Introduces the STEALTH modifier, which causes the notes to not appear at all.
- This was the previous behavior of HIDDEN+SUDDEN, which now makes the notes briefly appear in the middle of the screen.
- All song titles are now displayed in the same font. Internally, this is done using the same unique artwork system introduced in CORE REMIX.
- Most of the returning beatmania songs (and beatmania III songs) that originally had duplicate charts received brand-new ones.
- The ability to select the menu's and gameplay UI's color scheme (frame color) was removed.
- The mixes that allowed this were 4thMIX, 5thMIX, 6thMIX, and 7thMIX.
- Instead, the gameplay UI's color scheme (frame color) is based on the difficulty of the chart that is being played.
- NORMAL: Yellow
- HARD: Red
- ANOTHER: Green
- Background movies are now displayed in a little box, instead of occupying most of the center of the screen.
- These mainly consist of generic animation clips, some from various older beatmania games; however, a few songs have unique clips.
- MISS animations were removed as well.
- In all modes except EXPERT+, the in-game frame is now similar to the default frame of EXPERT mode in 7thMIX, which has judgment counters and enabled modifiers displayed.
- In addition, four different types of graphics mode combinations can be selected on the MODE SELECT screen.
- Default: Displays judgment counters and movies.
- SCORE ATTACK: Does not display judgment counters or movies; these are covered with overlays.
- COUNTER ONLY: Displays judgment counters only; movies are covered with an overlay.
- MOVIE ONLY: Displays movies only; judgment counters are covered with an overlay.

Songs With Default Scroll Speed Multipliers
- Some songs in this game have a scroll speed multiplier applied to them by default when playing certain charts.
- In other words, on such charts, the in-game BPM is higher than the displayed BPM, and thus the chart scrolls faster than the displayed BPM would imply.
- When a HI-SPEED option is used on such a chart, that HI-SPEED's multiplier will stack (multiply) with that chart's default scroll speed multiplier.
- Songs that have such charts, as well as other relevant information, are shown in the table below (for all games and applicable songs, see here).
* N = Normal; H = Hard; A = Another
