General Information / Changes

• Theme: Channels. [1]
  • The letters C and H that were colored orange in the logo also represents CH, an abbreviation for channel.
  • Befitting the theme, the menu screens feature many generic videos (from SIRIUS up until BISTROVER, except for event-based and battle generic videos, such as PARALLEL ROTATION and Lincle Kingdom) that play/cycle every few seconds.
• Slogan: 流れる音で、時に乗れ(ストリーム ライディング)。 (STREAM RIDING.)
  • Another slogan tag, "This brand-new hour lets you cast and share your beat! Have a GREAT "CastHour" !!", is written in the logo. This marks the first time where a tag other than "The ultimate system beatmania deluxe version" is written in the logo.
• New scratch type introduced; Multi Spin Scratch (MSS). You must hit the scratch a certain amount of times in the same scratch. Each scratch counts as a note.
  • An indicator similar to the previous CN/HCN marker next to the song will show which songs have Multi Spin Scratch.
• Icons for CHARGE NOTES are no longer displayed for songs on music select. Only the NOTES RADAR shows if a song has them or not now.
  • NOTES RADAR will dim any aspects if the parameter has no value.
• Adjustments for in-game FAST/SLOW settings, as well as an AUTO ADJUST option, have been added. This option can be turned on or off at music select or during gameplay.
  • Pressing 3 adjusts FAST, 9 SLOW, and 0 turns on AUTO ADJUST.
  • JUDGE now displays FAST/SLOW notes as well during gameplay.
• Random lane gacha (ランダムレーンガチャ) tickets introduced exclusively for LIGHTNING MODEL cabinets and can be purchased with either a free coupon (for every 10 purchases) or PASELI. When used, ten specific RANDOM patterns are produced and can either be selected at any time or preset a customised pattern.
  • This feature is only available on Japanese cabinets, and cannot be used on Dan/Class, ARENA, or BPL BATTLE mode.
  • Up to 9,999 patterns can be stored at any time, and are valid for 180 days.
• My Activity now includes IIDX Tower, a cumulative stacked graph which displays the cumulative total number of keys hit and turntable scratches within the past ten days of activity.
  • Single and Double play are combined together.
• All hidden non-BEMANI wide event unlocks from beatmania IIDX 27 HEROIC VERSE are now playable by default.
  • The five non-ARENA hidden LEGGENDARIA charts from BISTROVER, CONNECT-, Tell me what you wish feat.らっぷびと, X-ray binary, and 世界の果てに約束の凱歌を -ReUnion- are also now playable by default.
  • The LIGHTNING MODEL cabinet exclusive songs from HEROIC VERSE are playable in the base version by default.
  • apo:llioth is now available by default in the LIGHTNING MODEL cabinet.
• beatmania IIDX 29 CastHour's launch songlist marks several notable artist omissions in the beatmania IIDX series:
  • It's the first game since 8th style where Ryu☆ doesn't appear in any songs, license or original, on the default songlist.
  • It's the first game in the series since his debut in 8th style in which Tetsuya Tamura doesn't appear in the game's default songlist.
  • It marks the first game since Mayumi Morinaga's debut in Resort Anthem with no song sung by her in the default songlist, and the first game since SINOBUZ with no songs under her Prim alias on the default songlist.
  • It's the first game since PENDUAL with no Dirty Androids song playable by default.
  • It's the first game since copula in which Nanahira doesn't sing in a song with Camellia on the default songlist.
  • It's the first game since Maozon's debut in copula with no song from him on the default songlist.
  • It's the first game in the series since CANNON BALLERS with no licensed covers.
• A hit chart can now be viewed on the Premium Area on LIGHTNING MODEL cabinets, showing which songs are currently the most popular.
• Rival data and personal bests now show what mods were used under their score graphs.
• Video aspect ratio for songs when playing on Double have been fixed and now display in 4:3, like they do on Single.
• The SD image resolution is no longer compatible from this version onwards. As such, the Definition Type is removed on the title screen as well.
• BPL BATTLE mode is currently available for machines set to EVENT MODE due to an oversight. [2]
• System voices are provided by Hihumi (voiced by Naomi Shindou) and Daruma (voiced by Yuu Kobayashi).
  • The system voices are only present in the Japanese version of the game.
• System BGM is composed by HuΣeR.
• In-game currency is called LISNA.

WORLD TOURISM

The WORLD TOURISM event will begin on October 28th, 2021. It is a continuation of the event of the same name from beatmania IIDX 28 BISTROVER.

Event folders are added to the selection in one player Standard Mode only, playable on any stage. Playing a song from any folder will bring up a board with ten spaces between START and GOAL. Five spaces are awarded for playing a song (clear or fail does not matter), and an extra space is awarded for fulfilling each of the following conditions:

• DJ LEVEL AA or HARD CLEAR (or better)
• PREMIUM START (Japan only)
• LIGHTNING MODEL play

Once the Q-Pro reaches the GOAL, a bonus is awarded, and the remaining spaces will carry over to the next board in the folder. If on the last board, the remaining spaces are lost.

Unlocking all six songs will unlock a lane cover for No Day But Today!.

After playing a song from an event folder, the folders will disappear for the rest of the credit. Once the song has been unlocked from a folder, it will disappear from the selection entirely.
