<pre>
<pre>What are you driving at? Any... anything
What are you driving, any... anything
Just to come on, to anything
Just to come on, to anything
Just believing where hiding, rallying my dark
Just believing where hiding, rallying my dark
Line 28: Line 35:
Slam the door and leave in same funny time
Slam the door and leave in same funny time

Pudding a-la mode...
Pudding a la mode...

You don't have to believe, in a color yourself
You don't have to believe to the core of yourself
But I just saw it
Well, I just thought of it
Gotta keep alot of the things
Gotta keep alot of the things
Oh you know - fight the bad feeling - no fair!
Oh you know - fight the bad feeling - no fair!
Line 45: Line 52:
You are mine besides!"
You are mine besides!"

What are you driving, any... anything
What are you driving at? Any... anything
Just to come on, to anything
Just to come on, to anything
Just believing where hiding, rallying my dark
Just believing where hiding, rallying my dark
Line 53: Line 60:
Slam the door and leave in same funny time
Slam the door and leave in same funny time

Pudding a-la mode...</pre>

Leave me alone mom....

You don't have to believe, in a color yourself

There's something wrong with these
So follow to me - and can do our song tonight.

So I don't mind that we don't talk to me

wac
Hello, nice to meet you, I'm .djw. Hmm, anyhow, I'm wac. Yes, I'm a lonely person who wants to eat a black colored sunburnt eggplant, and my wisdom teeth hurt.

Even if you say there's a super high tension, it's impossible because I have low blood pressure. Going to the convenience store is as bad as a punishment game.<br>
And then I ran away. To the ends of the earth.<br>
This is how I made such murmur twins.

* For the time being, I wanted to create a different song from the usual.
* For the time being, I wanted to create a dark song.
* Well, major seventh chords are banned.
* Then, secondary dominant chords are banned too.
* Should I also ban mellotron styles?
* But it's not good to be too restricted in such things!
* I eventually created disco-styled with little time to think about it, and I rushed through it with melody and chords that came to mind.
* The beginning surely respects a student lifestyle. It's abbreviated as m.m.t., right? (grins).
* Rather, it respects a certain senior. I wanted to try making it once.
* I wonder if the breaks respect the piano's "jai" and "novi" keysounds. An invincible man.
* The theremin-like that can be heard in the distance respects an expert. With an image of bringing a girl in the audience on stage to play it.
* The guitar-like sound that can be heard in the distance  respects a crybaby feeling of a dead person. Or rather the person themselves.
* To summarize, in order to be myself... it's already enough, right?

Anyways, that's why I was immediately embarrassed when I made the demo, and I was somewhat uncomfortable with it (as usual in the beginning)<br>
But with Tokiwa as the vocalist (but I'm glad the song title wasn't Pudding a-la mode)<br>
With kaeru's girly movie (but it'd be the best joke if Regulus' files were near the trash bin)<br>
And everyone who liked this song (I'd be happy if this song caused you to start listening to music you never had the chance to hear)<br>
Thanks to everyone, I now like this song. Thank you.

Speaking of new song introductions, this was a long section. That's right kaeru. Next is the turn of the opposing team.

kaeru
It's nice to meet you IIDX fans. I'm from the opposing team.<br>
I had a faint dream of wanting to create a fake girly movie once in my life, like any colorful designer, and now it's really happened. What a surprise.<br>
Furthermore, it was my IIDX debut on the big stage, so my amazement doubled.<br>
The responsibility and weight of the two directors' smiles made me nervous for a week, but I had a lot of fun making this. Also, I always learn a lot from working on different jobs. I fully realized I was living with inertia everyday.

As a person who isn't discouraged from not being able to stand a tripod, VJ GYO guided me with a smile.<br>
wac started slowly cutting his nails while saying "if it's impossible for you, leave it to me!".<br>
shiro easily consented in one line when I nervously asked for her permission to use shiroro.<br>
Thank you very much for everything, everyone.

I'm sorry for my personal explanation of this movie, but when I listened to this song for the first time, "words" were the point!<br>
With that thought, I filled it with words.<br>
It was difficult to stop, as I was deluded by the very wonderful song and cute singing voice.<br>
Perhaps .djw is a file that promotes imagination. Maybe.<br>
... And I'm confessing here, the lyrics and words in this movie are completely unrelated.<br>
Everyone tried their best to understand the lyrics! Tokiwa's lyrics! I'm sorry. (smiles)

That's why I combined the 26 letters of the alphabet like a puzzle.<br>
"We can form any word! We can do anything!"<br>
This is a story of invincible twins who use magic words to obtain everything in the world.<br>
Someday, they'll become adults and forget how to use magic, but they'd have illusions that they regained their pure feelings.<br>
And if those delusions were loved by approximately one million fake girls across Japan (regardless of gender). I'll be very happy. Santa Maria.

So, I'm going to leave it at that. Sorry for the long section. ... So I won against wac?

Official Lyrics

What are you driving at? Any... anything
Just to come on, to anything
Just believing where hiding, rallying my dark
You get sunburned
Can we believe in anything?
Are you all set? We're a gong, go!
Slam the door and leave in same funny time

Pudding a la mode...

You don't have to believe to the core of yourself
Well, I just thought of it
Gotta keep alot of the things
Oh you know - fight the bad feeling - no fair!

If you wanted the view, then I'm having your fun
There's something wrong with these
Follow to me - and can do our song tonight

I just wann' be, another song
So I don't mind that we don't talk to me
True, said that you know that song?
Hearing "okay,
You are mine besides!"

What are you driving at? Any... anything
Just to come on, to anything
Just believing where hiding, rallying my dark
You get sunburned
Can we believe in anything?
Are you all set? We're a gong, go!
Slam the door and leave in same funny time

Pudding a la mode...

Alternate Lyrics

These lyrics are taken from DanceDanceRevolution UNIVERSE3.

Follow you, jammin' away to anything
Just to come on, to anything
Just to believe in we're hiding - alone in the dark
GIVE ME SOME MORE
Can we believe in anything?
Why you are sad? We don't know
Sat at the door and leave us safe from the dark

Leave me alone mom....

You don't have to believe, in a color yourself
But I just saw it
Gotta keep alot of the things
Oh you know - fight the bad feeling - no fair!

If you wanted the view, then I having your fun
There's something wrong with these
So follow to me - and can do our song tonight.

I just wann' be, another song
So I don't mind that we don't talk to me
True, do you really know that song?
Hearing "okay
You are mine besides!"

Follow you, jammin' away to anything
Just to come on, to anything
Just to believe in we're hiding - alone in the dark
GIVE ME SOME MORE
Can we believe in anything?
Why you are sad? We don't know
Sat at the door and leave us safe from the dark

Leave me alone mom....

Trivia

This song has different backgrounds, banners, jackets, or other related images. For more information, please see this page.
  • murmur twins marks the first appearance of Yu Tokiwa in beatmania IIDX.
    • murmur twins being crossed over also marks her first appearance in the DanceDanceRevolution series.
  • murmur twins is Tomoko Shiono's first full beatmania IIDX video. (She had earlier helped on the video for Second Style(Hip Hop Paradise) back in beatmania IIDX 2nd style.)
  • According to wac's song production comment and a dj TAKA post, murmur twins was originally titled Pudding a-la mode (プリンアラモード) in development. Yu Tokiwa later gave the song its final title [1].
  • murmur twins had a different banner in the DanceDanceRevolution SuperNOVA location test, which depicted two apples instead of the murmur twins characters.
  • The banner and songwheel in all arcade and console versions of DanceDanceRevolution/Dancing Stage SuperNOVA credit the artist as Yu_tokiwa.djw. This was fixed in DanceDanceRevolution SuperNOVA2.
  • Prior to DanceDanceRevolution WORLD, murmur twins' music video is shown full screen, eliminating any on-screen dancers.
    • The video for DanceDanceRevolution is edited compared to the original. A small section near the beginning was cut in order to sync it with the shortened music edit. A second section near the end also has slower animated transitions and less white flash-cuts, presumably to avoid distracting players.
  • murmur twins received a new jacket in DanceDanceRevolution UNIVERSE3.
    • It also received a Double BEGINNER and Single/Double CHALLENGE charts. Curiously, the Double BEGINNER chart has 7 more notes than the Double BASIC one.
    • murmur twins shows different lyrics from the official ones while playing the song in DanceDanceRevolution UNIVERSE3.
  • In DanceDanceRevolution UNIVERSE3, murmur twins can be unlocked in QUEST MODE by beating Miku in Club Virgo.
  • murmur twins is one of the hidden songs in HELLO! POP'N MUSIC. It can be unlocked by maxing out RIE♥chan's Tokimeki Meter (ときめきメーター).
    • It received a new jacket in HELLO! POP'N MUSIC.
  • murmur twins was added to REFLEC BEAT limelight to promote the release of wac's 音楽 album.
  • murmur twins was in consideration by Ryu☆ to be added to REFLEC BEAT groovin'!! Upper's BEMANI MUSIC FOCUS event as part of his set [2], despite that the album version of the song was already in the REFLEC BEAT series.
  • murmur twins received RENEWAL charts in REFLEC BEAT VOLZZA, unlockable as part of the first phase of the Pastel-kun to Gakkii-hakase no dokidoki rhythm kenkyujou (パステルくんとガッキー博士のドキドキリズム研究所) event. They could be unlocked after assembling the Talking Guitar (おしゃべりギター) instrument.
  • After being removed from the initial release of REFLEC BEAT 悠久のリフレシア, murmur twins was revived on July 14th, 2017.
  • murmur twins' BEGINNER chart was removed from the arcade beatmania IIDX titles in beatmania IIDX 26 Rootage.
  • In the pop'n music series, murmur twins appears as the EX chart for the original charts of murmur twins(guitar pop ver.).
    • murmur twins appears as a standalone song as one of the unlocks of pop'n music peace's pop'n time trip (ポップンタイムトリップ) event. It could be unlocked from April 25th, 2019 to February 19th, 2020 as part of the second pop'n music 10 stamp card by obtaining two stamps.
      • From December 24th, 2020 in pop'n music 解明リドルズ, it is available by default.
      • It reuses the same banner as murmur twins(guitar pop ver.) - complete with genre - but without the guitar pop ver. subtitle.
      • murmur twins does not retain the song background of murmur twins(guitar pop ver.).
  • Excluding CS songs and revivals, murmur twins is the first pop'n music song since pop'n music Sunny Park to have a genre.
  • Upon its addition to pop'n music peace, murmur twins reused the same audio preview as murmur twins(guitar pop ver.). This was changed on June 25th, 2019 to use its beatmania IIDX audio preview.

Song Production Information

Going to the convenience store is as bad as a punishment game.
And then I ran away. To the ends of the earth.
This is how I made such murmur twins.

  • For the time being, I wanted to create a different song from the usual.
  • For the time being, I wanted to create a dark song.
  • Well, major seventh chords are banned.
  • Then, secondary dominant chords are banned too.
  • Should I also ban mellotron styles?
  • But it's not good to be too restricted in such things!
  • I eventually created disco-styled with little time to think about it, and I rushed through it with melody and chords that came to mind.
  • The beginning surely respects a student lifestyle. It's abbreviated as m.m.t., right? (grins).
  • Rather, it respects a certain senior. I wanted to try making it once.
  • I wonder if the breaks respect the piano's "jai" and "novi" keysounds. An invincible man.
  • The theremin-like that can be heard in the distance respects an expert. With an image of bringing a girl in the audience on stage to play it.
  • The guitar-like sound that can be heard in the distance respects a crybaby feeling of a dead person. Or rather the person themselves.
  • To summarize, in order to be myself... it's already enough, right?

Anyways, that's why I was immediately embarrassed when I made the demo, and I was somewhat uncomfortable with it (as usual in the beginning)
But with Tokiwa as the vocalist (but I'm glad the song title wasn't Pudding a-la mode)
With kaeru's girly movie (but it'd be the best joke if Regulus' files were near the trash bin)
And everyone who liked this song (I'd be happy if this song caused you to start listening to music you never had the chance to hear)
Thanks to everyone, I now like this song. Thank you.

Speaking of new song introductions, this was a long section. That's right kaeru. Next is the turn of the opposing team.

Video Production Information

kaeru

It's nice to meet you IIDX fans. I'm from the opposing team.
I had a faint dream of wanting to create a fake girly movie once in my life, like any colorful designer, and now it's really happened. What a surprise.
Furthermore, it was my IIDX debut on the big stage, so my amazement doubled.
The responsibility and weight of the two directors' smiles made me nervous for a week, but I had a lot of fun making this. Also, I always learn a lot from working on different jobs. I fully realized I was living with inertia everyday.

As a person who isn't discouraged from not being able to stand a tripod, VJ GYO guided me with a smile.
wac started slowly cutting his nails while saying "if it's impossible for you, leave it to me!".
shiro easily consented in one line when I nervously asked for her permission to use shiroro.
Thank you very much for everything, everyone.

I'm sorry for my personal explanation of this movie, but when I listened to this song for the first time, "words" were the point!
With that thought, I filled it with words.
It was difficult to stop, as I was deluded by the very wonderful song and cute singing voice.
Perhaps .djw is a file that promotes imagination. Maybe.
... And I'm confessing here, the lyrics and words in this movie are completely unrelated.
Everyone tried their best to understand the lyrics! Tokiwa's lyrics! I'm sorry. (smiles)

That's why I combined the 26 letters of the alphabet like a puzzle.
"We can form any word! We can do anything!"
This is a story of invincible twins who use magic words to obtain everything in the world.
Someday, they'll become adults and forget how to use magic, but they'd have illusions that they regained their pure feelings.
And if those delusions were loved by approximately one million fake girls across Japan (regardless of gender). I'll be very happy. Santa Maria.

So, I'm going to leave it at that. Sorry for the long section. ... So I won against wac?
