The Chrono Seeker is the first unlock system of beatmania IIDX 22 PENDUAL, introduced on October 1st, 2014.

The event only shows up in STANDARD mode, with only one player. Chrono Seeker is automatically activated after the first play session since the event started. It is divided in two sections, one for each Space-Time Phase. Chronos' songs can be only unlocked on PRESENT Phase, while Kairos' songs can only be unlocked on FUTURE Phase. Unlike Chronos' songs, Kairos' ones are revivals and beatmania IIDX CS transplants.

The main objective is to unlock new charts by collecting Crystal shards. In order to do this, you need to fulfill certain phase-specific unlock conditions, which are listed below. There are conditions for each class, i.e. one for the NORMAL (blue), one for the HYPER (yellow), and one for the ANOTHER (red) version of the new song. When a Crystal is materialized in the special event screen (which appears at the end of each play session), a special announcement appears and the respective chart is unlocked. The Crystal rows, which show up at the end of a play session, each contain a PRESENT song (left side) and a FUTURE song (right side), and must be unlocked in order, from the top one to the bottom one.

When a Crystal is materialized in the special event screen (which appears at the end of each play session), a special announcement appears and the respective chart is unlocked. The Crystal rows, which show up at the end of a play session, are divided in two sides, one for Chronos (left side) and one for Kairos (right side); these must be unlocked in order, from the top one to the bottom one. Crystals obtained during the PRESENT Phase appear on Chronos' side, Crystals obtained during the FUTURE Phase appear on Kairos' side.

There are 4 possible songs to unlock in both phases, each of which will require at least one completed crystal in order for you to advance to the next song. Important notice for your first phase-exclusive Chrono Seeker songs: Before you can proceed from one song unlock to the next, you must play the newly unlocked song by reaching EXTRA STAGE (or Final on coin play) and choosing it from the "CHRONO SEEKER" folder, which is located above the class folders. While this isn't shown, you can only unlock those difficulties of future songs that you've already played on previous Chrono Seeker songs.
The four Chrono Seeker songs can be unlocked in both Space-Time Phases, meaning from both sides of the Crystal rows. The requirements for unlocking the songs are the only main differences between the Space-Time Phases, event-wise.

Progression on unlocks is shared between both Space-Time Phases; for example, if you have unlocked the third row on PRESENT Phase, on FUTURE Phase you can unlock any of its first three Chrono Seeker songs as you wish. You still have to play the song of the third row before working on the fourth one. Charts of same difficulties must also be unlocked in order, from the first song to the last one. For example, if you have the ANOTHER charts of COLOSSEUM and とろぴかる倶楽部 unlocked but none of their HYPER charts, you must first unlock COLOSSEUM's HYPER chart before you can unlock とろぴかる倶楽部's one.
When you unlock a Chrono Seeker chart from a single side, you can play it in the special CHRONO SEEKER folder, available in the next play session on FINAL STAGE on coin play, or on EXTRA STAGE on PASELI play (in the rest of Asia, it appears on EXTRA STAGE on coin play only). Note that you MUST play the newly unlocked song before you can proceed to the next Crystal row, therefore to the successive song to unlock. At least one completed Crystal is required to unlock the next row.

You can play a Chrono Seeker PRESENT song in the special event folder, after one of its respective charts has been at least unlocked. To unlock their charts for regular play instead, you need to collect two Crystals of same color in the same row (example: collect the red Crystal for COLOSSEUM and for in motion, and the ANOTHER chart for both songs appears in regular play permanently).
Progression on the Crystal rows is shared between both Space-Time Phases; for example, if you have unlocked the third row on PRESENT Phase, on FUTURE Phase you can unlock any of the first three Chrono Seeker songs as you wish. You still have to play the song of the third row before working on the fourth one, of course. Charts of same difficulties must still be unlocked in order, however. For example, if you have the ANOTHER charts of COLOSSEUM and とろぴかる倶楽部 unlocked but none of their HYPER charts, you must first unlock COLOSSEUM's HYPER chart before you can unlock とろぴかる倶楽部's one.

Revivals and CS songs only appear in regular play.
When two Crystals of same color are completed on the same Crystal row, the respective Chrono Seeker chart permanently appears on regular play. This also unlocks the respective hidden Revival/CS Transplant for regular play too, whose available difficulty chart depends on which Chrono Seeker chart you have fully unlocked on both Crystal row sides.

NOTE: None of the Chrono Seeker songs are Phase exclusive ones.

beatmania IIDX 21 SPADA ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK VOL.2 Pre-order Songs

By purchasing the beatmania IIDX 21 SPADA ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK VOL.2 album, you'll receive a code which allows you to unlock these two songs since October 1st, 2014, both from the beatnation RHYZE vs HARDCORE TANO*C album:

†LEGGENDARIA Charts

The following songs are from beatmania IIDX 21 SPADA.

Chrono Seeker Songs

Challenge Chance

The Challenge Chance event (name is currently not confirmed) is a secret unlock system of beatmania IIDX 22 PENDUAL, started on September 24th, 2014. Much like the LIMIT BURST and the Spada†leggendaria events, you need to be able to access the EXTRA STAGE.

Unlock conditions are the same between Single Player and Double Player modes.

The objective of Challenge Chance is to satisfy secret requirements in order to open a door, which appears in the result screen. Once the door is open, it's possible to play the secret song.

To begin the event, you have to first trigger the appearance of the door itself. To do this on PRESENT Phase, you must obtain a Full Combo and an AAA rank grade together on chrono diver -fragment-'s ANOTHER chart without using RANDOM. The same thing can be done with CHRONO DIVER -NORNIR-'s ANOTHER chart, on the FUTURE Phase. If done correctly, the door will appear in the result screen.

Afterwards, you have to fulfill hidden requirements that will cause the door to open. So far, none of these requirements have been discovered yet. The door comes with three "challenge chance" coins. If one coin disappear, you have to try figuring out the conditions only in a different day, when the Space-Time Phase of the game is changed.

If all "challenge chance" coins are gone, the door will fade away. It will be automatically re-triggered in the next play session, after the FINAL STAGE.

Chrono Seeker

Official event page.

The Chrono Seeker is the first unlock system of beatmania IIDX 22 PENDUAL, introduced on October 1st, 2014.

The event only shows up in STANDARD mode, with only one player. Chrono Seeker is automatically activated after the first play session since the event started.

The four Chrono Seeker songs can be unlocked in both Space-Time Phases, meaning from both sides of the Crystal rows. The requirements for unlocking the songs are the only main differences between the Space-Time Phases, event-wise.
