Release Information

File:DD logo.jpg

  • Location Test: 22 November 2005 - 4 December 2005
  • Release Date: March 15, 2006
  • Slogan: You're the DJ of this gig!

General Information / Changes

  • The game features a new logo for the series with a different typeface for the words "beatmania IIDX". This typeface is the same one that was used on the cover of the beatmania IIDX 12 HAPPY SKY OST.
  • Interface is monotonous (blacks and greys) complemented with an orange wireframe motif.
  • In-song Hi-Speed changing is supported, by holding down the Start button and pressing a white or black key.
  • Hi-Speed 4.5 and 5.0 have been added.
  • A new "DP FLIP" option has been added that will swap the 1P and 2P sides of the notechart during Double and two-player (non-Battle) play.
  • The e-AMUSEMENT PASS is used as a replacement of Entry card.
  • Introduced a new system that implemented four Extra Stages instead of the single one used in all previous styles.
  • Song remixes no longer indicate the original artist for a song. Instead, the artist name for a song remix is "Remixed by (Artist Name)".
  • First beatmania IIDX game since the introduction of Extra Stage songs in beatmania IIDX 7th Style not to have a default Extra Stage or One More Extra Stage; Extra Stage and OMES songs require going to the Cardinal Gate screen. The default Extra Stage system would return come the next game, however.
  • This is the last IIDX AC game where Tatsh is one of the sound directors. He would later be replaced by L.E.D. in beatmania IIDX 14 GOLD.
  • AA, D.A.N.C.E.!, Raspberry♡Heart (English version), and The Hope of Tomorrow all have unique videos now.
  • Total number of songs: 414
