General Information / Changes

  • New Songs: 73
  • Total Number of Songs: 640
  • New songs text are highlighted in blue, similar to that of beatmania IIDX 17 SIRIUS.
  • Song wheel is now circular instead of vertical, similar to pre-DanceDanceRevolution X2's song wheel. This is the only beatmania IIDX game since the introduction of the songwheel in 2nd style with such a songwheel; it was reverted back to vertical in Lincle.
  • In-game score, stage, HI-SPEED, and BPM displays feature a new font.
  • In the location test, new songs had different splash screens, with white text on black backgrounds. The final version restores the white background with black text.
  • One of the first new BEMANI releases to feature the PASELI e-money system.
  • Introduces Premium Free Mode, where the player plays for 8 minutes as opposed to 2 stages. A song in-game can be canceled by pressing the EFFECT and VEFX buttons simultaneously, however, the time spent during the song would still count as part of the 8 minutes.
  • Introduces DJ Order Mode, which is similar to pop'n music's Challenge mode, where a player can select missions (similar to pop'n's Normas) and earn DELLAR POINTS.
  • For the first time since beatmania IIDX 12 HAPPY SKY, there aren't multiple Extra Stage / One More Extra Stage songs. All hidden songs are unlocked exclusively through Tours / beat unlocks, and unlocking songs through the former requires Dellar Points.
  • First beatmania IIDX game since game since Tetsuya Tamura's debut where he doesn't compose any new songs under his Y&Co. alias.

  • beatmania IIDX (China) is based off of the interface of this game.
