It is known that KONAMI has a habit of having songs that appear in earlier BEMANI games, such as data that contains graphics, charts, and even song cuts of unused licensed and KONAMI original songs, before their proper debuts. This page will list every known song that appeared earlier in some way (HDD data, location test, master songlist, etc.) before its proper debut.

Note that unlike the Scrapped Songs page, this lists songs that only actually appeared in a final BEMANI game.

Songs are listed by the game they were going to debut on, not the game they finally appeared in. It also doesn't list songs that were going to be transferred to another BEMANI game when they originally were already in one (i.e. FLOWER being scheduled for beatmania IIDX 19 Lincle after its premiere in REFLEC BEAT and jubeat knit APPEND).

This page is under HEAVY construction. For songs whose movements aren't covered by official KONAMI sources, please use the Talk Page.

beatmania IIDX 3rd style

  • A / D.J.Amuro

beatmania IIDX 9th style

    • Ryu☆ mentioned on the Resort Anthem website's page for the song that he considered porting sakura storm, a song he wrote around 1997, into beatmania IIDX 10th style. beatmania IIDX 17 SIRIUS

  • Macuilxochitl / TOMOSUKE
    • According to TOMOSUKE's twitter, Macuilxochitl was originally a beatmania IIDX song. But the jubeat staff wanted a jazzy classic piano song, so it went there instead. The early version of Macuilxochitl, which was faster and used four pianos, was later retooled into Almagest, which appeared in SIRIUS after it was remixed by Galdeira. Macuilxochitl would finally appear in beatmania IIDX nine years later in beatmania IIDX 24 SINOBUZ (albeit the jubeat ripples APPEND SOUNDTRACK album version of the song).

beatmania IIDX 21 SPADA

  • Broken Sword / 金獅子 VS 麒麟
    • Broken Sword was at first going to be part of SPADA's original Qprogue event, following up Last Dance's map. Reference data for it could be found in the Qprogue's map file, precisely in the cut Map 4 section; the song itself however never had ID data in the game itself. When QprogueDX was released, the unused last map of the original Qprogue event was purged, alongside all of its references. It eventually premiered in beatmania IIDX 22 PENDUAL's Chrono Seeker event.

beatmania IIDX 26 Rootage

  • 27th style / 三代目 "dj TAKA & DAYBREAKERS"
    • According to dj TAKA, 27th style was originally planned for Rootage, as 26th style, but it was postponed for undisclosed reasons until beatmania IIDX 27 HEROIC VERSE.
  • Horizons of Promise / BEMANI Sound Team "SPIRITUAL RIDE"
    • According to Horizons of Promise's sound comments, the song was supposed to debut in Rootage, but time constrains resulted in it not making it in. It instead appeared in beatmania IIDX 27 HEROIC VERSE.

beatmania IIDX 27 HEROIC VERSE

  • BEMANI PRO LEAGUE Theme / BEMANI Sound Team "Sota F."
    • As its title implies, BEMANI PRO LEAGUE Theme is the main theme of the BEMANI PRO LEAGUE event, originally scheduled to start in 2020. • XANADU / THE OLIVIA PROJECT
    • A different set of graphics can be found in the 2ndMIX data along with some stepcharts, but the song is not playable. It later became playable in DanceDanceRevolution 3rdMIX.
