General Information / Changes
- Theme is related to idols. The main theme color is magenta.
- First SOUND VOLTEX game since SOUND VOLTEX BOOTH to not have a Roman numeral in the title.
- Internal hardware has been overhauled.
- The operating system has been upgraded from Windows XP Embedded to Windows Embedded Standard 7.
- The resolution has been increased from 720p to 1080p.
- A new overhead camera has been installed beneath the marquee, though it is currently used to test controls only.
- Game mode selection menu has been refreshed; after logging in, the screen will display the following modes:
- NORMAL - the standard game mode. Light and Standard Starts are available.
- FRIEND - local matching mode.
- PARADISE - continuous mix mode. See below for more details.
- BLASTER - allows unlocking of BLASTER GATE charts and Ω Dimension tracks without BLASTER ENERGY. Requires PASELI (Except Asia and Korean releases).
- SKILL ANALYZER - now made as a separate mode for the first time since GRAVITY WARS.
- PREMIUM TIME - a time-based session mode, functioning similarly to beatmania IIDX's PREMIUM FREE mode. Added on January 17th, 2020.
- A new selection menu has been added: MY ROOM. In this menu screen, players can change their CREW and Appeal Card avatars or use the GENERATOR to purchase them.
- Only in machines with a GENERATOR: players can use the GENERATOR to print GENESIS cards.
- Timing values are changed from -8/+8 to -16/+16.
- A new mode has been added: PARADISE.
- A new feature, AUTOMATION PARADISE, has been added. When playing PARADISE mode, the final track is transformed into a medley of three or four songs picked by the player.
- In the location tests, this mode was called VIVID START, and AUTOMATION PARADISE was limited to only three songs picked at random.

Unlockable Songs
Ω Dimension
The Ω Dimension unlock system can only be accessed if the player has reached EXTRACK (regardless if BLASTER START is being used). Note that Ω Dimension can be accessed even if you fail out of the round, as long as you meet the EXTRACK requirement beforehand.
The Ω Dimension folder appears as a sub-folder inside the BLASTER folder. To unlock one of its songs for normal play, players must clear that song (if one of its charts is unlocked, all of its lower difficulties are automatically unlocked as well).
When playing a song inside the Ω Dimension folder, the gauge is forced to BLASTIVE RATE on LIGHT START or can turn on the ARS on another modes. The "BARRIER RANK" used is determined by the difficulty played and which charts has been previously unlocked:

Stamp Events
Stamp events are a frequent occurrence in the SOUND VOLTEX series. By playing SOUND VOLTEX, the player can collect stamps which, after collecting a certain amount, will unlock a song or navigator.

POLICY BREAK
In the POLICY BREAK event, a song representative of each BEMANI game is crossed over to SOUND VOLTEX IV HEAVENLY HAVEN. The POLICY BREAK event requires the player to play eight rounds of the specified BEMANI game during certain time periods in order to unlock the BEMANI crossover in SOUND VOLTEX. After the determined time period has ended, the song(s) cannot be unlocked anymore until it is revived through future events.
