beatmania IIDX 11 IIDX RED
Release Information
- Release date: October 28th, 2004
- Soundtrack release date:
- beatmania IIDX 11 IIDX RED ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK: February 2nd, 2005
- Includes songs from beatmania IIDX 8th style CS.
- beatmania IIDX 11 IIDX RED ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK: February 2nd, 2005
- Slogan: Revolutionary Energetic Diversification / 赫 (あか) に、染まりな。 ("Aka ni, somari na.")
- The slogan translates to "Dyed in Red".
- However, in the beatmania IIDX 11 IIDX RED ending, "RED" stands for "Revolutionary Evolution Deveroped". [1]
General Information / Changes
- First beatmania IIDX game to have a subtitle, which has been a series' staple since.
- Interface features a lot of red, as the name implies. The core in the "CORE ARENA" series of songs is a common occurrence in the theme.
- The main gameplay interface now animates as it's being placed together, instead of merely fading in from a black screen.
- First style to have a "READY / GET READY" message on the player's lanes before the start of a song.
- New song titles are colored yellow, which would be the norm for new songs until until beatmania IIDX 15 DJ TROOPERS.
- First arcade style with HI-SPEED 4.
- First arcade style to save HARD CLEAR status.
- First arcade style where every new song has full Single charts.
- First style with RANDOM+ (available via a secret code).
- First style with CLEAR RATE, showing the percentage of clears done by players on a song's chart.
- Level difficulty expanded to a nine-level scale, with the highest being Level 8+.
- First style to rely on the e-AMUSEMENT network for unlocks.
- First style to use the modified BEGINNER MODE (brand-new BEGINNER charts, rated Level 1, are introduced, and gauge does not decrease).
- First style to customize skin backgrounds through KONAMI's network via mobile phone (eAMUSEMENT only).
- First style to tell you any and all BPM changes in a song, not just the first part of a song's BPM.
- The network connection implemented in beatmania IIDX 9th style was utilized to show a graph on the unused side of the play field, known as TARGET SCORE. The graph shows your current EX-SCORE, your previous record, and a "target score" (either the machine best or a score pulled over the network).
- Users with e-AMUSEMENT PASS will now see a CS-style grade change screen if they boost their scores.
- Full combo has a orange rising splash.
- Songs with generic videos are no longer given Video Production Information in the "New Song" category on the official website, a tradition that has continued for almost every beatmania IIDX site since.
- All song revivals must be unlocked now, a trend that has continued in the arcade beatmania IIDX series to this very day (aside from HAPPY SKY and SPADA, which have no revivals to unlock).
- e-AMUSEMENT support for beatmania IIDX 11 IIDX RED ended on July 13th, 2005, coinciding with the release of beatmania IIDX 12 HAPPY SKY.
- Total songs: 336
