General Information / Changes

First mainline DanceDanceRevolution arcade game since the layoff of the entire BEMANI Sound Team.
- All songs with the artist label "BEMANI Sound Team" have been removed.
First official European and Brazilian release of DanceDanceRevolution with e-amusement support. However, Premium Play is not available for these releases.
Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, and Polish were added as language options.
New announcers WizardYensid and Kawaiiconic Ali replace Justin and Wil-Dog of Ozomatli from DanceDanceRevolution X.
- Music is temporarily muted when announcer lines or crowd cheers are playing.
- Crowd cheers have returned to the volume level prior to A20 PLUS.
System BGM is provided by Porter Robinson.
EXTRA STAGE system carried over from DanceDanceRevolution A3; please see its page for more details.
All previously released, non-GOLDEN LEAGUE content from A3 was made available by default at launch, with the following exceptions:
- All previously locked songs with the artist label "BEMANI Sound Team" have been removed.
- Pure Rude was still EXTRA EXCLUSIVE until June 1, 2024.
- BEMANI PRO LEAGUE -SEASON 3- Triple Tribe
- DanceDanceRevolution GRAND PRIX packs that are not a year out from release
All NONSTOP courses from A3 and A20 PLUS that do not have songs containing "BEMANI Sound Team" return.
MAKE A JAM! has been moved to the DDR 2ndMIX folder.
The speaker pop bug found in DanceDanceRevolution A has been brought back.
PASELI is required to play the game. Coins can no longer be used to add credits.
- PASELI is required to access EVENT MODE and FREE PLAY within the arcade operator menu.
- The European and Brazilian releases are exempt from these rules.
NFT’s curated by Konami Amusement or Konami Digital Entertainment can be exchanged for PASELI based on their current market value (which is 0).
Potential sex offenders are prevented from playing the game. Whether or not a player is a potential sex offender is determined solely by the most played songs on SOUND VOLTEX in their e-amusement account.
Accessing e-amusement servers through VPN networks not approved by Konami will crash the game and corrupt hard drive data. Furthermore, all devices connected to the network will be infected by a WannaCry worm forked by Konami Amusement. Ransom payments to decrypt compromised data must be paid with PASELI.
Any instance of score posting or public leaking of unreleased material for DanceDanceRevolution F will shut down global game support and updates immediately.
Hardware upgrades for 2nd generation (black), 3rd generation (white), and 20th Anniversary model cabinets are required to play DanceDanceRevolution F.
- Ironically, the specifications are fully identical to the current hardware with little to no difference in performance.
Touchscreen support added. However, touchscreens for DanceDanceRevolution cabinets are not in development.
BeatStream and ノスタルジア cabinets can be converted to DanceDanceRevolution F. However, hardware support for dance pads is unavailable.
- It has already been announced that the sequel, DanceDanceRevolution F2, will be housed in a repurposed BeatStream cabinet, because fuck it, anything else Konami puts in there keeps flopping.

  - CREWMATE appears in randomly different solid colors throughout each stage played. If two players have CREWMATE selected as their character, the two colors will always be different.
Characters’ dance choreographies are now AI-generated and have collision detection.
- If a character falls off the stage, they will not return until the next credit.
DISTRACTION-FREE MODE can be toggled by pressing 7 on the numeric keypad during the MUSIC SELECT screen. When toggled, the background stage and its camera are fixed, and the character stands still in a T-pose. Background videos are replaced with the fixed stage setup.
0x Speed option added.
H-FLIP and V-FLIP turn options added. These swap left/right and up/down arrows, respectively.
New SPECIAL ARROW "BIG" added. This arrow design covers the entire gameplay screen.
New lifebar options LIFE4+ and RISKY+ added. These options follow ATTACK PERFECT COMBO rules.
- Lifebar option LIFE8 returns, but only accessible for the Replicant D-znuts event.
- The FLARE GAUGE options have been removed due to technical issues.
New TIMING WINDOW options added. Choices include DEFAULT, LOOSE, TIGHT, and CLASSIC (pre-A timing window algorithm).
All BPM changes and stops have been removed for all charts rated Level 14 and under.
- However, these charts have not been adjusted to accommodate for these removals.
EDIT MODE has been added and can be accessed through the MUSIC SELECT screen during 1st STAGE. The chart editor is controlled using the menu buttons, numeric keypad, and dance panels. EDIT MODE is initially accessible for ten minutes, with each additional credit giving an extra five minutes.
- Unlike the editor seen from CS versions of DanceDanceRevolution, 24th, 32nd, 48th, 64th, and 192nd quantizations are accessible.
- Shock Arrows can be added to EDIT charts.
- Chart drafts are auto-saved in e-amusement to keep progress.
- EDIT charts can be rated from levels 1 to 20. An AUTO-RATE function can be used, which can guess the Level of an EDIT chart based on its GROOVE RADAR values and total area.
EDIT charts can be favorited during the results screen. Players cannot favorite their own EDIT charts.
EDIT charts can be accessed through the MUSIC SELECT screen by one of the following ways:
- MY EDITS folder
- FAVORITE EDITS folder
- EDIT CLOUD folder
  - EDIT CLOUD will randomly display 24 different EDIT charts made during the last month.
- Pressing the right dance panel on any song to display all EDIT charts made for it.
  - EDIT charts for a song can be sorted by My Edits (if applicable), Hot, Newest, or Top Favorite.

Unlockable Songs

EXTRA SAVIOR F

The EXTRA SAVIOR F song folder, based on the EXTRA SAVIOR PLUS unlocking mechanic scheme from DanceDanceRevolution A20 PLUS, returned on launch date for 20th anniversary model cabinets, and June 1st, 2024 for regular cabinets. Please see its A20 PLUS page for details.

Due to the introduction of switching play styles, both gauges for the respective play styles (blue for Single, pink for Double) are now displayed together, and playing the selected play style will fill the respective gauge more than the other gauge. As usual, charts are always unlocked in order from BEGINNER/BASIC, DIFFICULT, EXPERT, and CHALLENGE. Carrying over from DanceDanceRevolution A3 is the ability to unlock CHALLENGE charts (if the song contains one), which require three stage clears or equivalent progress from failed attempts.

New to DanceDanceRevolution F, EXTRA SAVIOR progress bars no longer unlock charts only when fully filled. Instead, charts are partially unlocked during normal stages based on progress bar fill status. For example, if a DIFFICULT bar for an EXTRA SAVIOR song is filled by 50%, only 50% of the song’s DIFFICULT chart is playable.

Any songs can be unlocked in any order, unless otherwise noted.

GOLDEN LEAGUE F

GOLDEN LEAGUE F started on launch day for 20th anniversary model cabinets. Please see the A20, A20 PLUS, and A3 pages for more information.

Carrying over from GOLDEN LEAGUE A3 is LEAGUE SCORE, a scoring system which is determined by the combination of both EX Score and normal scoring (divided by 1000 and rounded down to the last integer; quadrupled when played on NONSTOP or Class courses). A fourth cutoff border, Advanced Border, is added, whereas if the total LEAGUE SCORE is achieved during the period, the players will receive rewards, with SILVER CLASS or better being eligible for the bonus. GOLD CLASS members (by accumulating at least 500,000 points) will unlock the newest song instantly, while players with SILVER CLASS (175,000 points) are able to access GOLD CLASS exclusive songs once the period ends.

Rewards are given at the end of each Period. At the end of each period, a previous GOLDEN LEAGUE song is rotated out from BRONZE CLASS and made available by default to all players, regardless of cabinet model. The latest GOLDEN LEAGUE song will first appear in GOLD CLASS before being relegated to SILVER CLASS after two periods, followed by BRONZE CLASS after four periods, after which it is finally unlocked by default four periods later. GOLDEN LEAGUE F periods run in unison with COURSE TRIAL F periods.

Older GOLDEN LEAGUE songs previously rotated out of the BRONZE CLASS are given new CHALLENGE charts, usually announced a week before the current period ends. These charts are initially exclusive for 20th anniversary model cabinets, but are made available by default for all players before the start of the following period.

SMITH's Take-Out Delivery

SMITH's Take-Out Delivery is a cross-BEMANI unlock event for jubeat Dine-In, involving beatmania IIDX 32 Freelancia, DanceDanceRevolution F, ＤＡＮＣＥＲＵＳＨ　Ｓｔａｒｄｏｍ２, GITADORA LIVECREW, pop'n music 財閥, and SOUND VOLTEX Abstania. This event started on May 7th, 2024 and does not expire.

SMITH must fulfill take-out orders. The player must help him by completing song set missions in jubeat Dine-In (consisting of songs from other games), then playing the crossed over jubeat songs in the other game, which unlocks a crossover song each from the games.

When an "order" is received for this game, the player must select the SMITH's Take-out Delivery category and complete all three songs included to unlock the crossover song in jubeat Dine-In. When all orders are complete, a final song is unlocked for all games.

When take-out order missions are completed on both jubeat Dine-In and DanceDanceRevolution F, the following songs are unlocked:

EMI'S ADVENTURE

This event started on June 12th, 2024. Similar to BABY-LON’S and RINON’S ADVENTURE in DanceDanceRevolution A, a pixelated EMI will climb a staircase, with the number of steps rewarded as follows: - Step Grade: 6 for a E, 7 for a D/D+, up to 12 for an AAA; - One bonus step for a MAX COMBO of at least 100, and another step if a FULL COMBO is obtained. - One for the first play of the day.

Premium Play is not required for this event. Europeans and Brazilians can rejoice. 🥳

Upon reaching the top of the staircase, a song is unlocked. Excess steps do not carry over to the next world.

When a player completes EMI’S ADVENTURE, the pixelated EMI will perform a backflip, followed by the Default Dance as seen in Fortnite. Dancer in the flare and MAKE A JAM!’s CHALLENGE charts become available for unlock in EXTRA SAVIOR F. As of September 4, 2024, completion of EMI’S ADVENTURE will unlock access to YUNI’S ADVENTURE on EXTRA STAGE.

BEMANI Sound Team ALUMNI EVENT

The BEMANI Sound Team ALUMNI EVENT is a cross-BEMANI event that started from December 4th, 2024 and ended on April 2th, 2025 between the following active BEMANI games: beatmania IIDX 32 Freelancia, DanceDanceRevolution F, ＤＡＮＣＥＲＵＳＨ　Ｓｔａｒｄｏｍ２, GITADORA LIVECREW, jubeat Dine-In, pop'n music 財閥, and SOUND VOLTEX Abstania. It consists of songs that can be unlocked simply by playing other songs by various artists featured in the event. When enough artists' songs are played among the participating games, a song by said artist will be unlocked for all games.

The following songs can be unlocked between January 1st and April 1st, 2025 by playing songs a certain amount of times. Eight songs can be unlocked in total, all by clearing an amount of songs. While not required, Premium Play will add an additional stamp towards progress.

The Result Star system introduced in DanceDanceRevolution X3 vs 2ndMIX is used in F, and is only available on Premium Play. When nine Result Stars are obtained, and FINAL STAGE is cleared, EXTRA STAGE will be played. Both players' stars are combined, and progress carries over to the next round if EXTRA STAGE was not reached. Each player can earn a maximum of three stars per song. During EXTRA STAGE, the LIFE GAUGE modifier is restricted to LIFE4, unless otherwise specified.

YUNI'S ADVENTURE

This event started on September 4th, 2024 and requires the completion of EMI’S ADVENTURE. Similar to the previous event, a pixelated YUNI will climb a staircase based on the Step Grade obtained on EXTRA STAGE (combo and first-time play bonuses are not applied). Because of this, YUNI’S ADVENTURE requires Premium Play, unlike EMI’S ADVENTURE. Europeans and Brazilians should be malding right now.

Upon reaching the top of the staircase, a CHALLENGE chart for a song is unlocked. Excess steps carry over for the following unlock in a world, but not the next world. One more world (D) opens upon completing worlds A to C; completing it will unlock the Replicant D-znuts event.

Replicant D-znuts

Replicant D-znuts is the special EXTRA STAGE event of DanceDanceRevolution F. It started on September 4th, 2024 and requires the completion of YUNI’S ADVENTURE.

When EXTRA STAGE is accessed after YUNI’S ADVENTURE is completed, the Replicant D-znuts category folder will be hovered over by default on the music select screen. While the folder is hovered, a different BGM plays, while the background turns dark and cybernetic with RGB lights.

All songs’ BPM displays are hidden during this event.

Phase 1

The first phase of Replicant D-znuts is divided into three sectors (RED, GREEN, and BLUE), each containing three accessible songs. These sectors, and their songs, can be accessed and played in any order. Clearing a song in a sector during EXTRA STAGE will charge the sector’s NITRO battery. When all songs are cleared in a sector on the same difficulty, the NITRO battery will be fully charged, and the sector’s boss song will be available to play on ENCORE EXTRA STAGE. Failing the sector boss song will cause the NITRO battery to fully lose its charge, and the three songs in the sector must be played again in order to access. Clearing the sector boss song will stabilize the NITRO battery, and the sector doesn’t have to be played again.

When all NITRO batteries are stabilized, Phase 2 of Replicant D-znuts will begin for the player.

Phase 2

Phase 2 of Replicant D-znuts consists of an additional sector (CMYK), which contains the Phase 1 sector boss songs with additional CHALLENGE charts and the exclusion of their BEGINNER charts. Songs in this sector can be played in any order. Clearing a song in Sector CMYK will charge the GLYCERINE battery. Failing any of these songs will cause its corresponding sector’s NITRO battery to destabilize. In order to restabilize the battery, its sector boss must be cleared on ENCORE EXTRA STAGE. Failing to do so will cause the battery to lose its charge, and the process to recharge and stabilize it must be repeated.

When CHALLENGE charts are played, LIFE8 will be used instead of LIFE4.

When all songs in Sector CMYK are cleared on the same difficulty, the GLYCERINE battery will be fully charged, and the final boss song, Jetblack, will be forced to play on ENCORE EXTRA STAGE on the difficulty below, with RISKY+. Failing this song will cause the GLYCERINE battery to fully lose its charge, and the three songs in the sector must be played again in order to access. If a song is cleared on DOUBLE BASIC, then Jetblack will be played on SINGLE BEGINNER. When Jetblack is played on EXPERT, LIFE4+ will be used instead of RISKY+.

Clearing Jetblack on ENCORE EXTRA STAGE will end the event for the player. All sectors in Replicant D-znuts will become freely accessible on EXTRA STAGE, but only Sector CMYK will give the player access to ENCORE EXTRA STAGE.

From April 2nd, 2025 onwards, all main sector songs from Replicant D-znuts became available by default for all players. Songs from Sector CMYK became available for unlock via EXTRA SAVIOR F, including their CHALLENGE charts. Like before, when CHALLENGE charts are played, LIFE8 will be used instead of LIFE4.

NONSTOP Courses

NONSTOP courses can only be accessed in 1st STAGE during Premium Play. Each course has four fixed songs; the difficulty level and the LIFE GAUGE option are not fixed, and can be changed on the song selection screen between the five difficulty levels (four on Double). If CHALLENGE is chosen, and a song in the course does not have CHALLENGE charts, the EXPERT charts will be used instead.

Players can only choose modifiers before the first song of the course (changing the LIFE GAUGE option to RISKY or LIFE4 switches these courses to CHALLENGE MODE); SPEED can be adjusted at the start of every song.

When a player fails a course, an animation of GUS will appear in front of the FAILED screen, slapping you.
