* Description: A large stage recognizable by nine giant yellow speakers (seven behind the dancers, two on both sides of them). On the stage's transparent dance floor is another giant speaker that booms underneath the dancers. Multiple floating light boxes shine red spotlights across the area. This stage is listed twice in the game files, with IDs 1 and 32. Because it is the first dance stage listed in the files, it also acts as a default dance stage. In the CS releases of DanceDanceRevolution X, this stage is named BOOM BOOM BOOM!.

BOOM DARK
* Description: A version of the BOOM BOOM BOOM stage with darker undertones, commonly used by boss songs. The speakers and stage now have a black and yellow coloration, while the stage also gets an outer wall with rising equalizer bars. The floating light boxes have been removed as well. In DanceDanceRevolution (2014), five recolored variants of this dance stage were introduced, made primarily for the Replicant D-ignition event's NITRO vial-unlockable songs Destination (green), Samurai Shogun vs. Master Ninja (red), Sand Blow (yellow), chaos eater (blue), and HAPPY☆LUCKY☆YEAPPY (white). In DanceDanceRevolution X2, the blinking red and green equalizer bar walls were removed. However, in DanceDanceRevolution A, the BOOM DARK stage and all five of its recolored variants had their rising equalizer bar walls restored, much like in DanceDanceRevolution X, although this time they no longer flash and are always visible.

* Description: A light blue dance stage distinguishable by many floating crystals flanking the dancers on all sides. Behind the dancers is a cube projecting light onto a floating pyramid-shaped object. The stage periodically cycles color from light blue to dark blue, pale green, and salmon pink. From DanceDanceRevolution X2 onwards, it is always fixed to a light blue coloration. In the CS releases of DanceDanceRevolution X, this stage's name is listed as Crystaldium.

* Description: A green and yellow recolored version of the BOOM BOOM BOOM stage with white and teal speakers, as well as a daytime blue sky backdrop. The moving light boxes have been recolored blue, and yellow arrows revolve around the stage. Above the stage is a large self-rotating star-shaped object. In both DanceDanceRevolution X2 and X3 VS 2ndMIX, for the most part, if a song introduced in either game is played, there is a chance that the background dance stage used will randomize betwen BOOM LIGHT and CYBER. This stage is also known as "SPEAKER" in the game files.

The following article is a list of background dance stages used across the DanceDanceRevolution arcade series from DanceDanceRevolution X onwards, as well as songs using any of these stages (as of DanceDanceRevolution A3; songs removed from games later than DanceDanceRevolution (2013) will also be present in this list).

Songs marked with a "※" symbol denote that it has a fullscreen background video eliminating any on-screen dancers and will only show its respective dance stage if the video is removed by any method, such as hacking (or in the case of a select few songs, played on a non-Japanese version of the game).

The list is under heavy construction.

The large monitor is partly interrupted by hexagonal patterns, while a second larger monitor wraps around the entire stage in a spherical fashion. Between the main monitor and the secondary sphere-shaped monitor is a large structure consisting of flower-like designs. On both sides of the dancers are large crystal-like static structures. White and black-colored variants of this dance stage exist.

 • Description: A futuristic dance stage that displays a unique background video and is most prominently used by the Replicant D-action songs in DanceDanceRevolution X2. The stage is primarily colored teal, with a large platform featuring a hexagonal pattern on it. Behind the dancers lies a pair of static structures resembling speakers. Multiple other structures decorate and surround the stage, while six monitors (a circular one and four widescreen ones above the dancers, as well as a larger monitor wrapping around the stage in a spherical fashion) display a unique background video. X2 features two additional variants of this stage, colored purple (used primarily by songs like POSSESSION and New Decade) and pink (used exclusively by Valkyrie dimension). DanceDanceRevolution (2014) introduced two more recolored variants through the Replicant D-ignition event; a pale blue one used by EGOISM 440 and Over The “Period”, and a midnight blue one used exclusively by MAX.(period). DanceDanceRevolution A introduced a sixth red-colored variant used by ENDYMION.
